Welcome to the tournament that is made in honor of Beijing Summer Olympics!

This tournament will consist of 3 parts that are going to be played one after another (and not at the same time) due to the huge amount of players/athletes that even 1 part needs. I’ve taken all the sports that are used in Beijing and put them into 3 categories: Citius (part 1), Altius (part 2) and Fortius (part 3). First part is 1v1 games, 2nd part team games and third part 3-8 player games. This tournament's point is not to follow Olympics exactly nor make a copy of those games but to try to do something huge in the spirit of Olympics.

Olympics: Citius
Part 1
*Number of Athletes: 352*

Sign up period: February 28, 2008 - April 8, 2008
First games are made: April 9th, 2008

***EVERYBODY WITH 1 OPEN SLOT IS WELCOME***

To this part I’ve gathered all the events that need the nerves of steel to face your opponent 1 on 1. Overall there are 8 different events, some of them have 3 or more categories to bring equity. Below everything is explained better and with more details. Also, pay attention that some „sub“-events take players according to their rank on sign ups. I’d also bring out that each event is also a clicky that leads you to a site about the sports if you are interested in getting more information about certain events. Check the ending of this post about signing up.

Game type:1v1 Sequential

Setup
To win the tournament, you must win the Huge bracket (check post 3).
To get to the Huge bracket, you must either win your Tiny or Small Bracket (check 3rd post) or win a Wild Card.

Each event/"sub"-category is a Bracket. Which bracket? It’s mentioned after every event. Also, below each event there’s an introduction how to get a Wild Card if you don’t win your bracket. NB! Some ("sub"-)events have point requirements

Sign up period is very long. Some players could go up more than 500 points...
For example, I could register in bracket 4, wrestling. My score grows over 2000 until April 8. In which bracket I'm going to play?

And since I currently weigh in at a whopping 55 kg, I'll go for the Wrestling (Greco-Roman) in the 55 - 60kg (Tiny Bracket) [1000+].

Glad to have you everybody! :)

Sing up table will be updated once in 1-2 days because it's an annoying job for me  It's not updated yet, I'll post when it is.

Now some things that need answering.

Asia map isn't much different from Classic. It has 2 small continents that everybody wants, 1 huge that usually nobody wants and 3 middle size that might be worth taking time to time. And if the map scares away people then I don't need them! :P Oh, I do actually but Asia fits my theme more. Like No Cards and Chained represent Fair Play (in a way).

I wouldn't say that very long but a month isn't a short time either, I know. But to make my job even a little bit easier, then I'm looking at the points when people sign up and you'll be put to brackets/events according to your sign up points. Also, I don't think that the points will change that drastically, and a 500 or so point change isn't that big, at least in these tournament sections I've seen all ranks play every other rank (lets leave the top out, of course) and everybody gets along :) So, yes, there will be some people who sign up for higher/lower category and then won't fit the best to his/her group but I don't think that there will that many people and I actually don't see a problem to that. So, if you are afraid that you'll make a major jump up and you are afraid to play with 1500 while being at 2000 then you can always sign up a few days before the sign up period ends :)
