I so agree. Every time I mention that movie [The Boondock Saints] no one has ever heard of it! But it's a great one. There was a sequel in the making and I always look out for it but it's considered "lost".

All added. 8-)

You know, I was thinking of putting a tournament together about movies, I was thinking along these lines, but nowhere near this big. I'll probably still put it together as my next tourny, it'll be different, no worries. :D

Oh my God though... I've got so many movies I love, classics, comedies, drama, action, scifi...

I could go war movies, Patton, or Saving Private Ryan..... eh, nah

SciFi! Any Star Trek or Star Wars movie I could choose... if I had to choose one of eithere it'd have to be Wrath of Khan, for Star Trek, or Empire Strikes Back for Star Wars..... eh, nah

A great Drama.... hmmmm, Always a good choice in One Flew Over the Cucoo's Nest.... eh, nah

Plenty of inspiring sport's movies, Field of Dreams, A League of Their Own, or Philly favorite, ROCKY...... oh so tempting to put in Rocky.... but nah

There are other great sports movies, on the comedy side, Major League, Bull Duraham, or Slap Shot!..... eh, nah

Lots of great action flicks, The Terminator, or an Indiana Jones flick, I'd have to choose Raiders of the Lost Ark of the 4, and great super hero movies like Superman and Batman...... eh, nah

Not much of a scary movie guy... but I'd go for Evil Dead... classic Bruce Campbell..... eh nah

Ok, it's gotta be a comedy for me, but which one?

If I'm gonna mention Evil Dead, for comedy you hit Army of Darkness, again classic Campbell.... but nah

Spaceballs?
Lonestar - "On this ship you'll refer to me as IDIOT, not YOU CAPTAIN!"
soooooo, tempting, but nah

How about Bender's Big Score!?
Eh... not exactly a movie... straight to DVD ain't in the spirit here

Well... go with Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters
eh..... nah

I'm all about trend setters, Naked Gun was hilarious, and started the whole slapstick run of movies that bring us to movies like Scary Movie. It's kinda played out now, but it's tough to say no to the action ability of OJ Simpson..... but, nah

If you've accually read this far, I commend you! =D> If you skimmed and jumped to the end... [-X

Classic Comedy, I can't believe this movie is almost 30 years old now, but it's my favorite, and my choice in this tournament.

Carl Spackler - It's in the hole!!!

Caddyshack

Judge Smails - You'll get nothing and you like it!!!!

Gosh RedBaron, how long did it take you to write that??? Still funny to read, :D . I was wondering when someone would pick that movie, well that and Meatballs or Stripes. I know there's soo many genres to chose from, but I thought I'd go "basic" since sports movies are either "dramatic" or "comedic" they can be picked and put into either one. Same w/ the romantic flicks--they're either funny or deep. I made it kinda big since there are so many different tastes, and many different movies--this way everyone can get theirs in for the first of this tournament.

I'm hoping to do this again a few more times, next time with a more in-depth genre list, like musicals, animated, and children's movies.

It's really cool to see what movies everyone loves.

I put you down for Saw II. Sequels aren't considered doubles by me, sometimes I like the sequels better myself, lol.

LOL, I accually cut it back... I had a ton of other movies I kept throwing out there. I've watched so many great movies over my life, and I call so many of them 'classic'.

You should hear my wife... whenever I'm watching a movie I like, there's always a part(s) I love the most. Those are the classic moments, and I'll call it that. The wife'll look at me, roll her eyes and say, " You say that about every movie..."

I tend to watch a LOT of movies, and think many, many of them are classics. They aren't all that way, I've just watched soooooooooooo many movies, that I'll usually find one on to watch, so it just seems like they're all classics.

I know what you mean. If I like a movie I'll have my favorite moments memorized by the second viewing. I'm kinda debating changing my movie now!! Okay I'll change it, but after this I'm leaving it alone.....

Great movie--I started to place it in Action on account of all the....well...action, , but checking the film site I frequent states that it is a "crime drama" so it's in the Drama category. I tend to laugh a lot while watching it, but maybe I'm just disturbed.....Added and thx for joining.
