You guys have a pretty good chance of taking the lead this round with the dice my partner and I are getting in Show Jumping. Our dice have been so bad, we're getting a card about every other round

They are holding us hostage in this game for the sake of earning more points in synchronized swimming. according to the rules of the site and this tournament that is cheating I beleive? Can someone please take care of this for the tourney?

nicestash, thank you for bringing that to my attention. For the record, if the format of this tournament does condone hostage holding, as was claimed in the C&A case built on the game you are referring to, that was inadvertent.
Neither I nor any member of the Entertainment Team or of TeamCC as a whole condones hostage holding, as it is against the rules of the site.

For the purposes of this tournament, the game in question will be considered to have ended in Round 9, at the point when protogenitor could have ended it, but chose not to.

Hello all!

As much as I hate to be the bad guy, this has to be done.
It has been brought to my attention that some players have been holding opponents hostage in their synchronized swimming games to gain more points in the tournament.

As you all (should) know, this is AGAINST CC RULES and will NOT be tolerated.
This is a warning. I am going to go through all synchronized swimming results from Days 1-4 and amend scores to take the best account I can of when games could and should have been ended, but there will be no further punishments at this time.
However, further hostage holding will result in stiffer penalties, including loss of Standings Points and disqualification from the tournament.

If you are being held hostage in a Pentathlon game, please do not hesitate to let me know.

The way you score is wrong, not the actions of players you wanted to score more.

Fixed - I have no interest in any particular team(s) winning this tourney or any event therein.
I will admit that I did not realize this would be a problem when designing this tournament, and that was my fault.
That said, it is one thing to know a loophole to exist, but it is another thing to take advantage of it.
The fact is that hostage holding is against CC rules and will not be tolerated.

nope you were 3rd we were second nepal (empire) 1st. both us and nepal got kicked out of fencing where you guys are still alive but you guys are out of cross country relay, nepal and us are still in but none made it through yet. You guys kicked some ass in synchronized swimming and it might hurt both nepal and us..

oh and don't even know the catch in that synchronized swimming pointing system.. just reread it and I don't get it, thought it was just about winning your games lol. To tell the truth sempai, it does look like your pointing system is made to "synchronize" games. I think that anyone who would've read the rules corectly (which wasn't the case in our team) would've tried to finish all games on the same round. holding hostage in escalating can be really dangerous and lead to losing a game.
