What a finish to the Shooting event!
It looked like it was going to be neck and neck between Afghanistan and Iran, but a moment of last-minute madness, not magic, decided the ending, as Afghan shooter neanderpaul14 took out the wrong player in Game 2 of the 5-game series to hand the title to his Iranian counterpart, TheCrown, who takes home 3 well-deserved months of premium after a truly convincing run.

Well done by all, and congratulations to TheCrown!

There are 19 Show Jumping games still to play, but the results of the finished games have been tallied, and we can declare our winners:
rh-headhunter and TX AG 90 of Team Trinidad & Tobago, who won an incredible 21 of 24 Show Jumping games and were assessed only 1 time fault over the entire duration of the event, picking up, all told, only 13 faults out of a possible 96.

Congratulations to both of you on a job well done!

And i give burundi good chances for the overall title! We were number 1 before day 7, and we won all our games (6 in SS 3 in SJ). I think SJ will make us win a few fresh points as we were ranked 14th and there were like 6 teams in front of us with 1 foul difference.

Given that serbia and nepal lost a few games already, is there any chance for them yet?

given that it all depends on other people's results we'll see, nepal was our biggest threat and I guess they could still beat us. 67 games still active!

22 active games left. given nepal and serbia's results vs ours, there is no way they can catch us, I think it's pretty official that we won! ;)

Per the policy that was agreed to by the Entertainment Team and the Tournament Directors:

Official Tournament winners DO NOT receive Tournament Achievement medals.
They receive General Achievement medals instead.
This is because Official Tournaments are not overseen by the TDs and are not held to the same rules as regular tournaments.

All Day 7 Show Jumping Games are now finished, and scores have been finalized.
I will update the event and overall standings as soon as I can.

Only 9 Synchronized Swimming games are still active, as is Game 3 of the final Cross-Country Relay. That Relay will go at least 5 games, but no more than 7.

sempai, how do you award standing points when different teams are tied in event points?

I find ways to break the tie. The tiebreakers I use are different for each event, but you can see which ones were used on the spreadsheet in the column to the right of the "Standings Points" column on each event's results page.

show: Fencing Tiebreakers

show: Shooting Tiebreakers

show: Show Jumping Tiebreakers

show: Synchronized Swimming Tiebreakers

show: Cross-Country Relay Tiebreakers

show: Overall Tiebreakers

Hope that helps!

Show Jumping standings have been finalized, and Team Trinidad and Tobago has officially won the event.
However, Team Burundi's excellent performance and Team Nepal's somewhat lackluster one have given the former an incredible 18-point lead atop the overall standings, and with Burundi having scored (by my unofficial count) 50 Synchronized Swimming Event Points from a possible 54, that gap will be, at best, very difficult for Team Nepal to close.
With only 5 doubles games still active, the overall outcome should be much clearer soon.

yes nepal didn't do very well on day 7 in synchronized swimming and they would need to climb up to the 4th/5th place in that event, which is impossible, and even with max points they wouldn't have managed it either, so looks like we won! really thought it was over for us at the end of day 6 when nepal kicked us out of the cross country relay, but given the point structure it didn't matter that much.

Thanks for hosting this huge tournament sempai!

Congratulations to Team Trinidad and Tobago on winning both doubles events, holding a 6-Event Point lead over second-place Gabon after Day 7's competition in Synchronized Swimming!
Well done to all 4 of you, and to everyone who participated!

Overall standings will be updated in a few hours.

Overall standings have been updated - at the conclusion of Day 7 action in all events except the Cross-Country Relay, Team Burundi is perched very comfortably atop the overall standings, 26 points ahead of second-place Nepal.
The only way the Overall Standings can change at all from this point forward is if Nepal wins the Cross-Country Relay Final, in which case they would take 1 Standings Point from Cambodia, trimming Burundi's lead to 25 points.
The overall title is thus unofficially decided.

CONGRATULATIONS TO TEAM BURUNDI FOR WINNING THE [OFFICIAL] VERY MODERN PENTATHLON!!!

Thank you all for your participation in this tournament. I sincerely hope you enjoyed it, but if you didn't, you can at least be thankful that it's over - well, except for the Cross-Country Relay.

Yay, although i have to say i had serbia and nepal s games in my watched games, so i knew they did pretty bad and with our perfect day 7 (9/9 wins) there was no way anyone could catch us :D

I guess you ll wait for the cross country to finish to issue the prizes?

Thanks for all this sempai, but i truely recommend for your own sanity not to do something so long and complicated next time :)
