It's easy to excel at a certain style of gameplay, and win a whole ton of tournaments while at it. But taking on the different styles of gameplay that CC offers, and excelling at them, well that's another ballgame altogether. In this tournament, each round will feature a different style of gameplay, and getting to the end of this tournament will certainly take a fair amount of skill and strategy. And a dash of luck definitely wouldn't hurt either!

Note: Round 1 & 2 matchups are determined solely by random.org.

Round 1: 1v1 - 64 players
1A: Winners advance to Round 2A, losers to Round 1B.
1B: Winners advance to Round 2B, 16 losers eliminated.

Round 2: Doubles - 48 players
2A: Winners advance to Round 3, losers to Round 2B.
2B: Winners advance to Round 3, 16 losers eliminated.

Round 3: Terminator - 32 players
8 groups of 4 players, 3 games per group.
Top 2 players with most kills from each group advance, 16 losers eliminated.
Tiebreakers will be based on average placing over games in Round 3.

Round 4: Assassin - 16 players
4 groups of 4 players, 1 game per group. Winners advance, 12 losers eliminated.
If a player wrongly eliminates another player, the culprit will be eliminated, and game replayed with 3 players.

Round 5: Standard - 4 players
1 group of 4 players, 1 game per group. Winner wins the tournament!

In, please.

If I'm understanding correctly, it looks like only 12 people get eliminated in Round 2B (36 advance to Round 3)... After 24 advance from 2A (12 4-player dubs) you should have 24 left (6 4-player dubs) in 2B.

  2. Ignore list is ignored in my tournament. If there's anybody that's in your ignore list then you have to remove him/her while playing in my tournament.

Just a comment on 6 and 7.

6: That's fine. Can you have some way to make sure that the players know besides this thread? I can almost guarantee that people won't read all the rules. It's up to you if you let people know. I'm trying to make less work later... Thinking about it, you might go ahead and create a penalty for a formed alliance. It's up to you.

7: For tournaments, all foe lists are ignored automatically.

No that is incorrect. Not all 48 players that progress to Round 2 will be playing in Round 2A.

The 32 winners from Round 1A will move on to Round 2A, and the 16 winners in 2A will progress to Round 3.

Round 2B will start with 32 players as well, with 16 of them coming from the losers of 2A, and the other 16 being the winners from 1B.

Does that clear up the confusion? (: If you still don't understand please let me know! I'll create a flowchart of something to make it clearer, if necessary.

Mmmm well to be honest, I've been using the same sets of rules for all my tournaments, and have never encountered any problems with alliances anyway. Most players don't actually think of forming alliances. As for point 7, thanks for letting me know! (:

Got it. I had misread the progression. Thanks!
