Posted: Mon Apr 01, 2013 2:12 am
This is a Tournament Players Association Year 3 (TPA3) event, and is governed by its rules, guidelines, and judgments which are detailed at http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=175675.
All are welcome to join and participate in the association. You need do nothing more than join one or more of the TPA3 events that will be announced each Monday. Check back on the scoreboard to see how you're doing:
This tournament will be a series of 4 person games (maybe 5), seeded by your point total (on the day that I look at everyone's points). So you will be playing people who are around your same point total. I will post the date and time that I pull the numbers and post the ranks in this thread so all can see where I got the groups from. (This will be after I receive privledges.) So the top 4 will play each other, then the second 4, etc. Each will be a set of 3 games with the top two continuing on. Looking for 32 or 40 people.
32 - 4 person games, 8 first round, 4 second round, 2 third round, final
40 - 4, 5 person games, 10 -4 person 1st round, 5 - 4 person second round, 2 - 5 person third round, 4 person final
48 hours (2 times) to pick up your invite before you are dropped.
Reserve policy: There will be no reserves. If a game is not picked up, the the game will be dropped and reissued as a 3 person game. This to preserve playing people at your own point count +/- Reserves will only be used if they can be substituted in at the appropriate level or a person drops before I make up the games.
Each round will be 3 games at once to minimize the variable of drops, etc. Each round you will start fresh. Order will be shuffled so you don't always follow the same person. With players A,B,C,D:
Game 1: A, B, C, D
Game 2: A, D, C, B
Game 3: random (random.org)
Points: 6 for first, 4 for 2nd, 2 for 3rd, If the round limit is hit, left over points added up, divided by remaining players and rounded down to nearest integer. In case of a tie, the person who has lasted the longest in games they did not win will advance. If for some strange reason that is a tie, I will put the names in random.org and see who comes out on top.
There will be a link to the scores on a google spreadsheet in the third post.
Each game will be Standard, Auto, Seq, Esq., Chained, fog, no trench, 30 rounds.
