Let's start another series of 1vs1 tournaments! In a very non-creative way, since American Football tournament have been simulated lots and lots of times here arround CC, I will recreate the NFL-AFL season that ended with the first Super Bowl championship game. Every regular season game will be played in the order of the official schedule of the 1966 NFL and AFL seasons.

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/1966/games.htm - 1966 NFL Schedule
http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/1966_AFL/games.htm- 1966 AFL Schedule

Before anything, every player has to choose an AFL or NFL team and a home map.

Tournament Structure
Regular Stage: Teams will play 14 rounds following the NFL and AFL schedules posted above. In every round, teams will play 3 games. The games will be played at the home team's maps. Top team in each of the four divisions advances to the Championship Games.
Championship Games: Four teams, two matches. East and West teams play against each other. Once again, 3 games per match are played. The NFL game will be played at Cotton Bowl, Dallas, TX (the USA Southwest map in one game and home maps in the other two) and the AFL game will be played at War Memorial Stadium, Bullalo, NY (the USA New England map in one game and home maps in the other two).
Super Bowl I: Winner of NFL Championship Game faces winner of AFL Championship Game. 3 Games per match, as always. The game will be played at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, CA (the USA West map in one game and home maps in the other two).

Point System
1) Every match is composed of three games.

2)
Image

3) A player who wins two games never loses the match (if we are talking about a non-playoff game). If the winner of two games scores less points than the other player, the match ends in a tie (for example if a player won the first game 3-0 and the second 3-0 but lost the last game 0-14, the final result would be 14-14 instead of 6-14).

3.1) If this situation happens in a match that cannot end with a tie (Championship Game or Superbowl), an extra game would be played in order to decide who advances. Then, if the overtime game ends in 10 rounds or less, the winning player will be awarded 6 extra points. Otherwise, the winning player will be awarded 3 extra points.

4) If a player misses the invitations for all three games of the week, he will lose the game at stake by a score of 42-0. If the player is unable to accept all 3 games at once, no worries as long as he accepts at least one at a time.

Positional Tiebeakers
- Winning average (according to the 1966 American Football rules, ties were not counted in the average);
- Less defeats;
- Point difference;
- Playoff game at a random map, if two or more players are tied in first place.

Well spotted mate! I will update that when I have the time. However, it would not be a terrible mistake, since it would be counted as week two game. But yeah, it's nicer in the right way. :)

10/24 in! :D
