Abdelkater's major penalty killed them.

Also, the Caps/Rangers game was great. Holtby and Lundqvist both played out of their minds.

Hockey!

If only Carey can goal like the second game and not like the first one, MontrƩal should win this !

I really need to see another replay of that hit. The Detroit announcers were calling it a clean hit as soon as it happened, then we went to commercial break, come back to find it's a MAJOR penalty for head-hunting? I wanna see it again.

Bollocks.

What the hell were the Detroit announcers smoking? That's not even close to a clean hit. He leaves his feet, the primary point of contact is to the head, and it's debatably an elbow. It's off the charts dirty compared to the Gryba-Eller hit.

I'm calling 4 games.

Well I pissed my pants during the Pens game. Too many stupid plays...happy we can escape with a win.

Going to try to go to the game on Tuesday.

I've seen the hit again. I'm not going to argue. Don't know how they figured that clean.

I like that you're honest.

Nice to see Minnesota squeeze out a win in OT. They deserved it, played with much more intensity and desperation so I'm happy for them.

Oh and I was right about Vancouver, they're not gonna win that series lol. They seriously need to practise on being able to play in high intensity games. In the playoffs guys don't just stand around waiting for you to make the pass, they're in your face, the Canucks clearly can't handle that type of play.

Sharks look really good. I'm surprised they made the Murray and Clowe trades...

Ugh, so after last night's debacle we're starting Vokoun tomorrow.

Even though I prefer it it still doesn't bode well. Hopefully playing Vokoun will get us playing right again like during the win streak.

Wings at Ducks, Game 5. All the pressure is on Anaheim right now. They were six and a half minutes away from a 3-1 series lead, and now go back home tied, knowing if they blow this one, they'll face elimination in Detroit. Wings really need this one.

Bollocks.

Fleury has been awful. By all rights the Isles should be up 3-1 right now. Taveres is insane right now. Even though I am a Sens fan and we were in a very close game last night, I couldn't keep my eyes off the Pens-Isles game.

Sens-Habs game was good too. What a comeback to score with like 30 seconds left.

It's funny being on the Penguins fan forum and reading some of the posts. The series is tied 2-2. If I were a Habs fan I would be knotting up the noose right now.

Fuckity fucking fuck!

The Leafs-Bruins series has been far too competitive to be 3-1 right now.

Fun fact:

The Capitals have taken a 2-0 series lead 9 times. They have gone on to lose 5 of those 9 series- the only team in the NHL to have blown more 2-0 leads than they've held onto.

I don't know how they didn't score in OT. So many chances. Rask finished well.

Have to say the LEafs are playing hard and playing well. Just not converting their chances. Reimer has been very good too, so it isn't the goaltending. I am an anti-Leafs fan, but give them credit for he way they are playing. Bruins are lucky to be ahead 3-1.

Both very well deserved. Tommy V was incredible and Les Habs were just outclassed in every single department.
A shame Ottawa won't make it past Round 2, but assawayigoze.

I don't know...the way they played against the Habs, I feel like they could easily manhandle either the Caps/Rangers. Even though I like Holtby I feel like he's too inexperienced for the playoffs still.

The NHL re-seeds shorty. sempai is assuming your Pens win, meaning they'll then face Ottawa, since the Sens are the 7 seed.

It actually surprises me that other sports don't re-seed each round. It just makes sense for the highest remaining seed to play the lowest remaining seed - places more emphasis on the regular season.

Ottawa can't play Washington. They'll play Pittsburgh if the Penguins win their series, and if both New York teams win, the Senators play the Rangers. It would actually be rather interesting to see a Boston-NYI/NYR-Ottawa second round... every hockey pool that exists would be completely screwed.

First time the Wings have played four overtime games in one playoff series.
And with Zetterberg's winner, it's the first time they've won three overtime games in one series since doing it against Anaheim in the midst of a four game sweep back in 1997, on their way to winning the Stanley Cup.

GO WINGS!!!!!!
