Lundquist has really showed why he was last years Vezina winner. Two shutouts back to back in the playoffs, how rare isn't that?

Boston comeback was ridiculous. Two goals in under 1:30? Reimer will never hear the end of it.

Also, semp, don't talk about Jagr being a traitor. Not only am I a Pens fan but Jagr is my favorite Pen of all-time. HE also played for every Pens rival after his Pittsburgh tour.

To me, he's a traitor. As a Pens fan and a Ranger fan, if you play for the Flyers, you're as good as dead to me.

Not a Leafs fan, but you can't pin that loss on Reimer. His D shut down and the whole team played way to conservatively. You could just tell they were unprepared to hold on to that lead.

I actually agree with AoG. If you truly respect the player as a player, it doesn't matter where he ends up playing. I may come to dislike the player because he ends up playing well against the previous team, but I don't instantly hate him as a traitor just because of the jersey he wears.

I'm a Ranger fan because I was born and raised a Ranger fan - when you grow up in New York, that's what happens.
When I was younger, my brother was a Penguins fan (for reasons I'm not aware of), and he had a Penguins jacket, which eventually got passed down to me. Of course, I couldn't wear the jacket without supporting the team, so I became a Pens fan.
Judge me as you will, but I know plenty of people who root for their teams for much more arbitrary reasons.

Haha, no, I understand. I was brought up a Ranger fan (grew up in Upstate NY and my dad and mom are both from NYC) and my oldest brother even got me a Rangers hockey bag when I was like 6. But I loved Lemieux and Jagr and was really always a Pens fan.

I really thought the Rangers would take this opening game, well it was a close one at least.

Biggest game for a swede last night, was of course that we knocked out Canada in the Worlds. I had slim hopes at best before the game but we came out with speed and purpose, and Canada couldn't find their groove. First game I've ever seen where Sweden played more physical than Canada.

Great game by Zetterberg and the Wings last night. Cheering for NYR this afternoon.

The Wings totally flipped the script on the Blackhawks. I found it so funny that Chicago's players kept saying Detroit "played our game; beat us at our game". The puck possession game has always been Detroit's game; they just haven't been as good at it this year. Well, Detroit is a young, improving team, and they're figuring it out at the right time of the year.

This doesn't mean I'm ready to award Detroit the series, far from it, but we've definitely got a series now. Go Wings!

I was shocked Ottawa got the tie in regulation; needing a shorthanded goal, with Anderson on the bench, against Pittsburgh? You're not going to get that lucky very often. Wish I could have stayed awake for the OT's.
