Of course the thread is based on the false premise that what these 2 grunks said is representative of what Christians believe. I've been a Christian (that is a Jesus-freak-type Christian) for 37 years, and read and listen to a lot of discussion, and although I have heard a lot of nonsense along woth a lot of truth, I have never heard anything like this.

Plus they did not say what Dave wrote either. Sure it was sort of similar yet there was no "an insult to God." mentioned.

They believed it was a bad to waste it by leaving it in the ground. Reaching that conclusion because of a parable about investing and managing other people's money for them. That happened to include someone burying money.

I didn't read the OP because my cardiologist demanded I not read anything PD says due to blood pressure concerns. So for me, this thread only became interesting based on what Metsfan said.
