A New York Police Department officer's act of kindness has gone viral online thanks to a photo snapped by a passing tourist. Jennifer Foster of Florence, Ariz., was visiting Times Square with her husband on Nov. 14 when she spotted a shoeless man asking for change. "Right when I was about to approach, one of your officers came up behind him," Foster wrote in a message to the NYPD. "The officer said, 'I have these size 12 boots for you, they are all-weather. Let's put them on and take care of you.'

A barefoot homeless man who became famous last week after a kind New York City police officer bought him a pair of boots is again going around shoeless.

The homeless man who was given a pair of boots by a kindhearted New York City police officer apparently isn't homeless. According to the New York Daily News, Jeffrey Hillman, 54, has an apartment in the Bronx that is paid for via a combination of rent vouchers, Social Security, and military veteran benefits.

in other words...(for the slower yet adjectively able among us)
Homelessness is not good.
Therefore, yes, it is bad. Living on the street, with no shelter or protection, most certainly can be "hurtful", possibly even extremely painful, on a daily basis, for years and years....W
Did you have a point Doomer?

I assume you are speaking to me.
Yes, my point is, you want to drug test welfare recipients, you say don't give to the poor as it enables them, yet you have a Salvation Army collection bucket on your profile. Who is the money for if not the poor BScotty?
