From that point forward, history is replete with examples of gun control laws aimed exclusively at disarming blacks, which made it easier to enslave them and, in the years following slavery, to terrorize them and lynch them without meaningful resistance. The law-abiding black citizen has been and continues to be a victim of those who would deny them the right to keep and bear arms.

Free men own guns. Slaves do not. The moment a slave owns a guns, the slave is no longer a slave.

It doesn't matter how many Fox news or John Stewarts you bring with you

Isn't that why they didn't get to have guns? Isn't the slavery a bigger problem than the guns? Are you suggesting that it would have made sense to drag people from Africa in dreadful conditions, buy and sell them, and then say "Hey, have a gun if you like."?

Jonesy, guns are a curative elixir. They are effectively like the fountain of youth.

Man, it's too bad the native Americans didn't have guns.

Just wait until the robots (or appliances) become self aware and have guns. They'll no longer be our slaves anymore.

Let's arm all the domesticated animals. No more beef for supper.

I don't understand your question, but I'll give it a "shot"

It's easier to enslave someone who cannot defend themselves. It's easier to defend yourself if you have a weapon.

:-s

Why would you imply that having a gun means you automatically win/cannot lose?

I think you are forgetting about the "fight" part, also that in a fight, there is a winner and a loser.

Lefties have always joked about slavery.

The more things change, the more they stay the same it seems.

Yes me making a joke is a perfectly valid segway into making an assertive generalistion about an opinion you disagree with.

Forgive me if I dont welcome you back warmly PS.

Is the US really that bad a place that you have to constantly watch your back and arm yourself lest someone jump out and harm you, or is this just paranoid propaganda by the armed to the teeth (plus a small wagon to carry the rest) paranoids?

If I lived in that scarey a place, I'd move to some place safer like Canada.

I don't get what you mean. Who said USA is this bad a place that one has to constantly watch their back and arm themself lest someone jump out and harm them? What is the propaganda you refer too?

Care to clarify?

You are better able to protect yourself and your family if you are armed, yes. That is not propaganda or paranoia though, it's common sense.
