US Presidents - favorites

Postby HitRed on Wed Feb 21, 2018 6:43 pm

1. Lincoln
2. Washington
3. Reagan
4. Trump

Lincoln clearly is the best for the life and times in which he lived. Washington was instrumental in the founding of our great country. I love Reagan for his personality though his presidency... wasn't that great in retrospect. I hoping in time Trump, who is clearly non republican or democrat, will be appreciated as a deal maker between the two.

Loved Reagan. Actually got to shake his hand in 83 (or 4?)...he was cool.

Could use those same words to describe Trump on your list...after only 1 year in office!

I could say space race, but you'd claim the world is flat and the whole thing was a hoax right?

The only 20th Century President to introduce a tax cut that benefited the poor and middle class as much as the rich. Republicans in Congress managed to delay passage until after Kennedy's death, so it was Johnson's signature that appeared on the bill, but it was unquestionably Kennedy's proposal. It was the largest U.S. tax cut of the 20th century, but the really radical concept was that unlike Republican tax cuts, it meaningfully reduced tax bills for the poor and not just for the rich.
