Question about "Mac" computers ;o)

I tried to download msn messenger on this computer and it wouldn't work. Do I need to have windows on here? Please help!! I don't understand this type of computer.

Listen to hecter on this one, unless you have an intel mac you need to make sure all your software is mac friendly. If you do have an intel mac then feel free to install windows. Just be careful because it can be hit by viruses. I don't know what it will do to the mac part though.

First link after I googled it. Just download it, it should get a .dmg file in the desktop, double click and install.

I found that link as well thanks. I think this is a Mac OS?? Not sure if that is correct.

A Mac Operating System? I think so...

If it's a newer computer it'll work fine.

Like I said, I don't understand Macs. I never use them. This computer is brand new though.

Macs are simple. People think they are totally alien but really they just need to sit down for an hour and explore. You never need to mess with the background stuff. I've had a mac since I was 6 and I never have had anything that fatally crashed my mac or made me go into the code to tamper with it. It's also never been shut down for any reason other than storms for years. I just put it to sleep.

I would recommend a program called Adium which was actually developed for the Mac to run all three instant messaging systems simultaneously. It works great for me.
