Bias in the Media, LOL

It's the blind loyalty to the president of the media not named "Fox" that gets to me. At least everyone knows Fox is biased. And I agree with the "real media" comment. The media should be constantly questioning the government on everything, no matter who is in the government.

Sean Hannity Interviews Lynne Cheney

(I wanted to find at least audio of Hannity interviewing Dick Cheney, but couldn't find any. That would have been perfect, but the exact same behavior is on display with Lynne. Pay attention to how practiced the Q&A is. Especially the responses.)

Daily Show: CNBC Gives Advice

And Cramer takes this general segment personally.

Daily Show: In Cramer We Trust

Jon responds to Cramer's comment which ran in papers. This sparked Cramer to get really bent out of shape and do this:

Cramer Whines and Complains and Looks Like an Idiot With the Help of Joe Scarborough

So Cramer went on the Daily Show. Here is the entire interview, unedited. That means no bleeps, either.

Cramer on TDS 2

Cramer on TDS 3

Shepard Smith on the media and Obama

He's completely right. That guy bleating on about the "liberal media" is the same kind of idiot that all too often bleats about it here. It's like a perfect visualization of some of the histrionics of this forum.

Indeed. Shepard Smith is pretty smart.

Right Wing Media Bias

I know it seems about as impossible as having evolved from apes, but apparently it indeed is possible for there to be a right wing bias in the media.

America = Good Guys, Other Guys = Bad Guys

The Heritage Foundation made a documentary! It's all about how awesome missiles are. Unfortunately, this is no longer the 80s, so fearmongering is a bit more disjointed.

Clinton Destroys Chris Wallace

Granted, this is old, but a great example of the obvious bias ingrained in Fox. Also, it's entertaining and awesome.

FOX News anchor and ACORN rep bicker like children

Behold! The high level of political discourse on American television!

It is worth noting how poorly lit the ACORN rep is. Fox seems to enjoy putting the "bad guy" under awful lighting, to make him/her look more sinister. Also, notable is how a distracting graphic of bullet points is put up just as the guy gets ready to give a big answer.

Regarding the content of their argument, everyone should be aware that ACORN turned in the offenders themselves. Furthermore, voter registration fraud is COMPLETELY different from voter fraud. Let's just get that straight, despite any attempts by that anchorwoman to try and confuse the viewers into thinking some ACORN workers were guilty of voter fraud, not voter REGISTRATION fraud.

To conclude, the last five seconds are hilarious.

No, I think it has something to do with a pot. And maybe a kettle. And perhaps the color black.

I think that I protest less than pimpdave, surely this thread was nothing more than him talking to himself about how he hates the right wing media conspiracy, never even realizing that the left wing conspiracy is equally as venomous. Surely, you can see that.

Ah, I'd disagree with your first point, but nevermind how much you do it. What you seem to not be seeing is that perhaps people might feel that you "protest too much" as well. But you don't care about that, only when it's other people with whom you disagree with, right?

Unless you don't mind being a hypocrite, you can either protest without making snarky comments like the one above (which frankly I don't mind), or do so and then shut up about whatever you feel is important.

Hmmm... I think that I debate, rather than simply hate. but perhaps I have muddied the waters a tad on this one. It was much more ridiculous when pimpdave was seemingly posting only for his own edification, as clearly no one cared about his consistent ranting about right wing media. Perhaps I should have simply said "please shut up already!" and called it a night. I think I see the error of my ways, outside of the grammatical, of course.

What about the middle of the road conspiracy? No one ever mentions the fooking middle of the roaders with their video cameras and their dirty white vans. No one notices them and they're quickly taking over all the convenience stores and abandoned drive in movie theaters. Why can't you all see that they are intent on ruining this nation? * * tries to scream while shadowy figures pull him into a dirty white van * *

I can't stand dirty white vans... gross. I am the guy that finds them and writes "Wash me!" and draws pictures of penises on the back doors. yup... I'm THAT guy!

No, no, no. What you already did was say "please shut up already!" albeit in a slightly more refined manner. That is not debating, that is hating (as you put it). You also seem to have decided that no one cared about what pimpdave was posting, which is quite presumptuous if you ask me. The point is if you want people to be respectful of your opinions, don't treat others' like they are garbage, even if you think they are.

For instance, I can't imagine that media bias is intentional, as bias is natural to every single person. Media conglomerates are primarily comprised of these biased people (and perhaps a few lizardmen ;) ), so I wouldn't call the bias a conspiracy. But of course, I would never tell you to "please shut up" for saying it.

I disagree completely, I said "I think thou protest too much", which is not the same as "Please Shut Up Already'... not at all. It really is an insinuation at irony. Meaning that he claims to hate the right wing media, when in truth, it is in his nature to completely obsess about it, fulfilling some need in his psyche that requires a target for his pent up anger. What better than endless online videos of people that are doing the same thing to his political hero's?

He can claim how much he hates Rush all he wants, but Rush actually fills a void in his life. That is what I meant. In a way though, you are probably right, it is very similar to how I regard communism/socialism as a deplorable way of life. I would rather be hungry and homeless than to be without my constitutional rights. The way I see it, I can change my food and shelter situations... I can't easily get my rights back once they are taken from me.

Yeah, no. It's not. This has all been put into one thread out of consideration for the mods. Because I appreciate the volunteer work they do here, I want to try and cut down on making too many new threads when, if I can come up with a creative umbrella title for a number of worthwhile videos, I'll use that.

Please feel free to share videos you find of a bias in the opposite direction. This thread is about bias in the media, not some nebulous right wing media conspiracy.

It just so happens that the last 8 years have been replete with great examples stemming from the overtly right wing Fox News. So as I've been going through my bookmarks looking at old videos I saved, I've found a great deal of stuff that leans heavily to the right. But don't be so naive as to think both sides don't play the same game.
