I don't really care for Doctor Who. Say what you will, revoke my nerd card or whatever, but it just doesn't resonate with me.

It's okay, not all nerds like every nerdy thing. We are a vast and diverse group.

Here's some food for thought, or something anyways.

Legend of Korra, the successor to the wildly popular and successful Avatar the Last Airbender (not the alien smurfs or the abomination of a movie that M. Knight Shyamalan made), yeah, season 3 will no longer be shown on TV. From now on, the remaining episodes will be shown online. Why? Because Nickelodeon gave it a crap timeslot with practically no promotion of it, so it had bad ratings (holy crap, that's shocking! [/sarcasm]).

MTG, how does the Legend of Korra stack up to the Avatar series?

First season was solid. Not quite on par with the original, but still a lot better than most shows out there. Season 2 took a step back in character development, but was more "epic". Still an overall good series. Rushed, as the creators were blindsided by a green lighted 2nd season. All that considered, still better than most shows. Season 3 so far has been more of a throwback to the original series with traveling all over the world and more Team Avatar action. So far? On par or better than season 1 in it's own way.

Overall, it's not as good as the original, but still very good nonetheless. Even some cameos from original characters too.

Damn, missed it.

In other news, I'm in Georgia at the moment. Sorry for no heads up, Georgia friends but I didn't know how much downtime I'd have. Apparently I have a whole afternoon. :/

Ah, well.

Yeah, no where near there. And have been enjoying temperatures in the 70s the last few days. Warm, but not hot. And very little humidity too.

I'm only in the state for a wedding. I'm leaving tomorrow. So I had a reasonable expectation of not having any time for visiting non-family.

But I'm on my phone now and I hate that. Full account of my adventure when I'm back at a computer and cognizant.

In other news, the moving van just left with all my worldly goods in it. Including all my shoes. So I walked to the library in my bedroom slippers to use a computer.
I'll be going to Cali in the 14th (sill in my bedroom slippers no doubt), to be at the new place when the van pulls up.

So you forgot to keep out one of the most essential articles of clothing you own?

Anyways, I'm heading to Kansas Wednesday to see my family out there before 1 cousin ships out for basic training to be a weekend warrior and the other either goes to a trade school or eventually joins the National Guard as well. And it'll be the first time I'd been back there where they don't have a dozen things going on since the youngest one out htere was born, and he'll be 19 come December.

In other news, I watched Frozen, and it was, well, okay. Some decent songs (the person who sings "Let it Go" can really belt it out), the characters are (mostly) interesting and or charming. But so much jumping around, random stuff throw at you, and an annoying snowman that becomes a main character (seriously, what ARE her powers!? She can create life from snow, create a dress, a castle, AND a never ending winter!?). The designs are pretty good. It's an overall decent film, but I wouldn't put it as the best in 20 years. You have at least 2 movies that I consider better than it with Toy Story 3 (just not crazy about the ending) and The Incredibles (which finally has a sequal in the works after a decade of being a stand alone). But I just don't get the hype. And the only thing people really seem to remember it for is for the song "Let it Go". But at least I saw for myself the film that people keep going on about.

Personally, I though How To Train Your Dragon 2 was better though.

Frozen's okay. One of the downsides of having so many musical theatre friends is that they play up Frozen as the BEST MOVI EVAR when it really isn't just because Idina Menzel is in it. Solid film but not the best.

And I don't really want to tell the story of my trip. If you reeeaaally want to hear it I'll tell it, but suffice to say I hate weddings.

They came v early, and I was frantically rushing round in front of them making sure that the post-its which said whether an item was going hadn't fallen off. The post-its were past their "we stay sticky date" apparently.
Anyhoo, it turns out I was both more clever and less awake than I'd thought. I just found my walking boots, hidden in a "don't touch this" cupboard. Seems I worked out what I shpuld do, then forgot!

I liked Frozen alright but I apparently spoke blasphemy when I told some of my friends that I didn't care for the "Let it Go" song.
