How about making yourself useful and nominating some tournaments? Who knows, somebody might return the favor.... :D

The category (or categories) you nominate the tournament for: Best Triples Tournament
The reason why your nomination should win: Very good setup and tournament design. Most importantly the most interesting and thrilling tournament I played. After a lot of turnarounds three teams ended up tied. So we had to play a new round robin tiebreaker including home, away and random games. After first 6 of tiebreaker games two teams were still tied, so the tournament was decided very late in the tiebreaker!

Reason: A great twist on regular assassin tournaments, which made every game count and added an extra dimension to the strategy. Plus I could've won had I not lost over $1,000,000 in the penultimate round...

I was both surprised and honored to see one of my tournaments nominated here. :) Thanks, Tupence! Glad you enjoyed it. If only I wasn't running against "Master of Assassin." haha!

Probably going to nominate some tournaments, but I need to do some research first. I'll be back. :)

Sorry for the confusion. I meant to nominate this for both "Most Creative/Innovative" and "Best Series": search.php?keywords=challenge&terms=all&author=chapcrap&sc=1&sf=firstpost&sr=posts&sk=t&sd=d&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

If you need a specific tournament for the "Most Creative/Innovative", go with http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... 1&t=141427 as I believe that was the first one of the series.
taking a break from cc, will be back sometime in the future.

• Chap's Christmas: Round Robin Style!
viewtopic.php?t=155760
ChapCrap
• Best Terminator
• Reason: An excellent run tournament with a limited edition map. Turned into a series in limited time, great fun for those who only get to play the map so often!

• Chap's Egyptian Assassin
viewtopic.php?t=152455
ChapCrap
• Best Assassin Tournament
• Reason: Thoroughly enjoyed the competition in this one, went into the finals where it was a close game! Again (as always) ChapCrap ran an excellent tournament, updated timely, etc.

• Ever Decreasing Circles (I, II, and III)

Tupence
• Best Series, Best Small-mid(?) Sized Tournament, Best Mixed Tournament
• Reason: Popular, filled quickly, well ran. Good mix of small maps while creating challenging tasks to achieve. Several mini-tournaments until you reached the final.

• Size Matters

• Not sure how to calculate size, mid-large?
• Reason: Enjoyed the format and was well ran.

• Alpha Beta (1-Present)
viewtopic.php?t=142167 (#7)
ViperOverLord
• Best Series
• Reason: One of the larger ongoing series that I've really enjoyed.

• MV's 1 vs 1 Round Robin Teams
viewtopic.php?t=149540
mviola
• Best 1 vs 1 Tournament, Most Creative/Innovative
• Reason: Great team tournament where captain chose others on his team. Played 1 vs 1 round robins with all other teams, then winning team advanced and played round robin within their own team to find the winner. Really enjoyable!

Thanks Ice.

Ever Decreasing Circles: 3 Tournaments is not enough for a series, has to be 5 completed tournaments at least. I registered version II under best mid-sized only, it's not a "Mixed" Tournament.

Size Matters: To calculate the size you take the amount of entries (64) times the amount of games the winner played (70) = 4480 A Score over 4000 is classified as "Huge".

For Most Creative and Large:

Initech XXV by Peter Gibbons

Most fun I had in a while. I was checking active games I wasn't in three times a week to see where they were going, and to see if anyone could overtake me. 5 different games types tested some versatility. Very interesting scoring system, and I like how he used different aspects of the continents, each having their own game type.

Name of the tournament: Super Smash Bros Triples League [TPA]
Link to the tournament thread: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=132053
Name of the Tournament Organizer: Gilligan
The category (or categories) you nominate the tournament for: Best Triples Tournament, Best Large Tournament
The reason why your nomination should win: This was a fun, fiercely competitive, challenging and thoroughly grueling triples test. I say thoroughly grueling because of the 82 games played by all 6 of the Finalist teams, with each of the first three rounds being round robins involving 2 home and 2 away matches against each team in your group, and the finals being 3 home and 3 away against each finalist. This tournament format required endurance (tourney took about 11 months), skill on a wide variety of maps which were hand selected by your opponents, and consistent performance on your own map to endure. All the while Gilligan managed to set up and run the over 600 games in a timely fashion and keep up on the standings expertly. Overall, it was a fun theme (love me some Smash Bros.), unique and challenging format, and very well run. Hats off to Gilligan!

Best Huge Tournament
The reason: When the winner needs to play over 300 games to claim the tournament win, you're talking about a huge tournament. Despite that it was all played in a year and a half, a great testament to the TO skills of Gilligan!
