The CrackerJack Invitational 2
Brought to you by Optimus Prime
PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED TO JOIN THIS TOURNAMENT.
Welcome to The CrackerJack Invitational 2, the second in a continuing series of tournaments. This tournament and subsequent editions will focus on what I believe to be the true essence of this game: multiple player games, chained reinforcements, escalating spoils, and maps with standard gameplay. We will dispense with the notion of fog of war, freestyle, or any other gameplay additions and stick to the basics. The idea is to be very straightforward in format while providing quality gameplay and a sense of satisfaction upon winning the tournament.
The tournament has room for 32 players and an additional 5 reserve players. Reserve players will be asked to jump in if someone decides to drop out before the first round games begin. After the first round if a player drops out the next highest qualifying player from a group or round will advance in place of the departing player to keep things fair and running smoothly.
THE WINNER OF THE TOURNAMENT WILL RECEIVE 1 YEAR OF FREE PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP.
*Membership may be awarded to the actual tournament winner or a player of their choice.

The first round will consist of eight groups of four players each. Groups will be determined by ranking all participating players from 1 to 32 according to their score. Then, using the compiled list they will be broken into groups by their rank according to the following formula:
- Group 1: #1, #9, #17, #25
Group 2: #2, #10, #18, #26
Group 3: #3, #11, #19, #27
Group 4: #4, #12, #20, #28
Group 5: #5, #13, #21, #29
Group 6: #6, #14, #22, #30
Group 7: #7, #15, #23, #31
Group 8: #8, #16, #24, #32
Advancing players will once again be ranked 1 to 16 using their current score. They will be placed into four groups of four players each using the following formula:
- Group A: #1, #5, #9, #13
Group B: #2, #6, #10, #14
Group C: #3, #7, #11, #15
Group D: #4, #8, #12, #16
In the final round the four players who have advanced from the second round will commence to play one final set of 8 games identical to the first two rounds. The games will be handed to each group in two sets of four games each, with approximately 7-10 days between sets. The player with the highest overall score in the final group will be crowned the tournament champion.
First Place: 5 points

1. Total wins in current round
2. Total second place finishes in current round
3. Total overall points in the tournament
4. Head to head game on map chosen by tournament organizer
In a situation regarding a stalemate game, the tournament organizer reserves the right to impose a "round limit" if necessary. If imposed the round limit will be at least 20 rounds or more beyond the current round of play when the decision is made to provide ample warning. Upon reaching the round limit with no game winner the tournament organizer will disqualify the game from the standings entirely and results will be tallied as though the game had not been played.
