Nkholley declined two consecutive invites. I guess this is his way of saying that he wishes to quit the tournament, although he hasn't show us the goddamn common courtesy of posting a resignation or replying to my PM.
I really wish people would be more considerate.
For the record: I have no problem with anyone who is no longer enjoying a tournament and wishes to drop out. It's a game, not a prison sentence, so by all means if you aren't happy with it then you should be free to leave. But please, please, please make your decision to quit
before the games are made for the next round. It is super-easy to make adjustments or replace people before games are made, but once the games are made and invitations are sent out, it gets a lot more complicated and a nuisance for everyone.
In this case I was randomly selecting someone from among the sit-outs to fill nkholley's vacancy, but I accidentally picked from
last round's sit-outs, and invited zissou2. I've sent him a message asking him not to accept this invite as he is already in a game this round, but he might not notice the message in time. If zissou does see the message and declines the invite, I'll select someone from the proper list tomorrow. If zissou accepts the invite, it's not the end of the world: I'll just credit him with the higher of his two scores this round and neglect the other. This will give him a tiny advantage on the scoreboard which shouldn't upset the applecart too much.
