The way I'm seeing it, there will be the following number of teams each round: 36, 30, 24, 18, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 1 . Based on this, there are 9 rounds.... am I misreading? If not, why are there 36 maps?
The way I'm seeing it, there will be a 6-team round robin in Division A, and a 6-team round robin in Division B, C, D, E, F. After 5 games per team, you'll eliminate the weakest team in each division. Then, there will be a 5-team round robin in Division A, and a 5-team round robin in Division B, C etc. This means the winning team will play a total of (5+4+3+2+5+4+3+2+9) = 37 quads games? Again, am I misreading this?

Ok, I bolded the relevant numbers that I edited from dowians reading with the current format. (and ignoring the last sentence of 3 games every round-since it's 1 game per team for the first two 6 team RR stages.
I don't think this is too bad?
Either way, I'm in with a team of maasman, leapfrog and lequeen, since this does seem manageable.
Basically, it's 6 teams in 6 groups for the first stage, and then 6 teams with 2 groups for the second, with still only 1 game played against the other teams. (with teams dropping out at the end of each 'round' until there are 2 left in the group?)
And then in the final group there's 4 teams, with 3 games played against each of the 3 teams?
However, I'm not so certain you'll get 36 quads teams within the month? it's still 144 players, so just check how quickly other recent quad team tournaments have filled?
