want to run a 1v1 tournament with me

this is how it will go

Ok here is another tournament ran by yours truly. this tournament is based off of a game me and my friends will spend ours playing. Read all the rules, Its going to be a weird way of being elimnated (there is always a chance you can win)

rules
OK so the elimination rule is that you have to eliminate everyone. once you get eliminated, you are out for the moment, but here's the twist in the game called "dodge ball lighting" if the person who gets you out gets out, your back in the game.

for example: lets say lack is behind Andy in the line up, lack gets out Andy. So, Andy is out for the moment, but once lack gets out he is back in.

how you get people out
so you have to get the person out in front of you, so you will play 2 games at once, if you win the first game, the second game means nothing. If you don't win the first game, then you need to win the next game. because in the game lighting you cant let the person behind you make the basket, so like this game. if you lose both games, you are out till the person who got you out is out, then you are back in.

there will be 16 players

settings
classic
sequential
escalating
chained
sunny

So some questions here:

1. What map(s) will be used?
2. What are the game settings?
3. How many players is this for?

Also, based off the information you put in here, this tourney may never end, since one person would literally need to beat every other player without losing, if my understanding is correct.

it will end, it may go on for awhile which is why i want reserves.

I agree with fuzzy here. My understanding is that unless all 15 players are eliminated by the same person, the game cannot end.

Can you explain further if we are wrong, please?

I'm intrigued but would kind of like to know what map is being played on to decide if I want to play.

thats how the game gose. if you get unlucky (like in lighting you get a bad rebound) or you get bad dice you arent out forever.

Sorry, but I'm not allowing this tourney to run since the victory conditions are too stringent and gameplay is likely to last more than one year.

Victory requires 1 player to knock out all 15 opponents without loss, and a narrow failure would effectively mean the tournament started again at square one.
