Sorry for the delay in getting 4th quarter games out. There was a streaker on the field and he had to be chased down, detained and removed by security. Games will be created and sent in the very near future.

Again, sorry for the delay.

It takes me a bit of time to set up these games and I've just been busy with holidays and work and juggling other Conquer Club commitments.

Will try to get these out this week.

Week 1 Finals
While one triples game is still wrapping up, the outcomes have been decided - with some close finishes in the 4th quarter.
Image

  • In the 4th quarter on Netherlands turf, New York rallied 14 points and held the Dutch to 6 points to win the game. A Dutch win in the triples match would have sent this game into overtime!
  • Great Lakes came within 5 points of defeating Portugal on their own turf, but couldn't stop the Portuguese potent offense.
  • England opened up their scoring early in quarter 4, connecting for three quick TDs and coming within just 5 yards of another, but Charleston staged a late game comeback with Wendt100's 2 TDs in the waning minutes of the game.
  • Wendt100 went 8/12 on the ground, racking up 105 yards and 3 TDs earned him the Week 1 MVP award.

And here are the standings after one week. Week 2 begins soon!

One last note - there was an error in earlier scoring that did not count all extra points for the winning trips team. This has been corrected and did not affect the outcome of any games.

Now that your trips game has finished, I have updated the score to reflect the field goal.
Puget Sound (29) over Ireland (15)

If you have any other scoring questions, I am happy to answer them.

Arthas Menethil has missed 2 invites without prior notice. As a result, team Ireland will lose 30 yards this quarter. If the third invites expire, team San Francisco will gain 60 yards.

Freemiums remember all 4 spots are required to be open for the tournament.

Arthas Menethil will be removed from the tournament after declining the final invite without notice.

I am currently seeking more reserves and will fill that spot ASAP.

Week 2 Q1
Wow - week 2 started off with a bang.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... _US#gid=23

  • The Dutch kicked off their game in England with 3 highlight reel TD scores and came within just 10 yards of a 4th. They're up 21-0.
  • Nearby, the Irish also put up 21 points, thanks in large part to recent call-up vykingsfan64. On the opposite side, the lone efforts of dorsettrob put up 6 points to keep the game in reach.
  • The remaining games remain close with Portugal just 5 up on Germany and Charleston/New York City holding slim 3 point leads over Great Lakes/Puget Sound (respectively).

Week 2 Q2
Only one game of the 5 remains close heading into the half, with the remainders looking a little lopsided. Will the underdog teams rally in the locker room and mount a 2nd half comeback?
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... _US#gid=23

  • The Dutch scored again and held the Brits to a FG to expand their lead 27-3.
  • Three other games hold at least a 10 point lead, giving Charleston, Portugal and Ireland something to hold on to.
  • Puget Sound's offense continued to sputter, but rookie Willow.Kings scored a solo TD to put them on the board. Despite a 61% completion rate, the Sound have been unable to execute in the red zone. This game remains very close with NYC holding a 4 point lead via workhorse Kondrad's solo TD and special teams play.

Sorry, I missed this.

Wepuckett did log in yesterday, so I have sent one final round of invites. If they are missed, I'll try to find another fill-in (unless Tin Trumpet has someone in mind?)
