I was wondering if it's possible to get bonuses Freshman year. Other than Avenue of Remembrance, all the other "continents" have areas that can't be attacked. Does holding all other territories count for the bonus or not?

If it can't be attacked it doesn't count toward the requirement to get a bonus for it. So if you conquer all available territories in a continent, you get the bonus in armies.

Due to other time constraints, Mjinga has had to drop from tournament. As I'm quite attached to Band Company and it's getting attacked this round, I'll be filling in as Player 10 from now on.

I've got a few questions.
If i choose to defend a terit that has only one army on it, the attacker has to win 2 out of three games to take my terit?
And if i choose to defend from a terit with 2 or 3 armies on it, the attacker also has to win two out of three games?

So basically larger stacks of armies are only useful for attacking purposes?

Thanks :D

I also answered this in PM, but I'll add a table here to note the niceness of lots of armies in defense.

Armies in Defense -- Games Played -- Games Attacker must win to take over
1 -- 1 -- 1
2 -- 3 -- 2
3 -- 5 -- 3
4 -- 7 -- 4

And so on. Additional attacking armies merely give the attacker a chance to redo matches he lost in the original series, and if the defender did well enough in the initial series, he's lost all those extra armies.

Thanks for explaining.

I was confused by this line
Defend: Any player attacking the territory must win a best-of-3 series (2 victories) to conquer the territory.

Thought it applied in general rather than in the scenario you had specified(everyone having 2 armies). But it makes a lot more sense this way.
I think you figured out one of the best systems for making these meta-map games.

I was wondering what the policy on attacking from multiple territories was. Say I have 2 territories that are both able to attack one specific territory. If I'm unsuccessful with one, can I attack from the other the same turn?

Yes, but I would prefer that you note that possible contingency when you call attacks. It can be as simple as "if my attack from here fails, attack from there to the same place", but I need foreknowledge. You can set whatever (reasonable) conditions you wish, though.

I wonder how many turns and men it took for you to get those locker rooms. They were smelly anyways...... :)
