hi all,

i am a big fan of tourneys and i think its time to create my own! i have read Tournament Handbook and i have a few questions.

1. do i need to notify a TD or my tourney will be monitored straight away and i will be notified when the permissions are granted?

2. lets say i want to use random drawing of the players. i saw some organizers use http://www.random.org. but i am not sure how exactly it is done. a little guidance here would be nice.

i have the setup of my tourney ready and i need some hints to post it.

cheers

1. only once it has filled. put FILLED in the heading, if nothing happens in a day or so send the TD a pm

2. go there and poke your head around. some of it is free like the list randomiser i use. i paste into the box there a list of names, hit randomise and it jumbles it up for me

When a TD grants you privs for the tourney you will receive a PM from them. Then when you go to the start a game page, there is a drop down menu labeled tournament which will put a heading on the games so you can track them with the game finder

but it is much easier to track them using the Watch This Game addon if you are a firefox user with greasemonkey

Does that add-on show the order people were eliminated in?

I've just been updating all my tournaments manually, and it is quite time-consuming (actually, creating and inviting everyone is much more so, but I digress).

If it shows the order folks were eliminated, then I'll download it.

no it doesn't

what it does is create another tab on your My Games page - Active, Invitations, Awaiting Players, Eliminated, Recently Finished & Watched

to keep track of your tournaments just click that tab and all the games you are watching will be listed there just like they are on the other tabs. from there you can see if it has finished, what round, who has been eliminated or turn it is or you can enter the game

it is much easier than going to the Game Finder page and using the unwieldy drop-down with all the tournaments ever played in it
