Gather round Quad teams!!!

This is a Quadruples team tournament I will host every 6 months or so...

Map: Will differ

Settings:
Quadruples,
Automatic deployment,
Sequential play,
No Spoils,
Chained reinforcements,
Fog of war,
Round limit 50.

Tournament run:
I'll let in 16 Quad teams. There will be 4 rounds. The best out of 3 games will advance to the next round (For example, if you win 2 or 3 out of 3 games you are through to the next round. So if you win 1 or 0 out of 3, your team is eliminated).

Terms and Conditions:
You must enter with a team name (or ill make one up)! Entering will be run on a first-come-first-serve bases. I reserve the right to eliminate any team that is reported to have Bad Sportsmanship, being Dis-honorable or any other reason that will make the tournament un-enjoyable.
Any person making insults or leaving nasty comments in this Hall or on the Tournament itself will be denied any future requests to join the tourney!

Important:
Premium and Freemium are allowed to join, but, you must have 3 open games if you are Freemium.
I will send out invites to all participants, I will only send out one invite, you have 24 hours to send me a PM, asking me for a second invite, if you fail to send me a PM within the time or miss the second invite, everyone will be forced to withdraw from the game and the other team will be granted that game's win!

The winning team will be awarded this banner (it's your chose if you want to wear it, but I recommended you wear it for at least a week or so):

(Note: The dates are just for an example and sizes are subject to changes)

You will also be put on the A-Team Special Shield Trophy and,

There will also be an additional prize Privet messaged to the Winning and Runner-Up teams! ;)

Me and my team (Known as "The A-Team"), joemaya, Blitzsrtahl, Kingen and myself, will also be playing in the Tourneys (unless stated other wise) so be prepared 8-)

My thoughts... never enough Quads tournies on here so I like that it's Quads, and it fits with the theme.
I like the creativity of the banner and the shield trophy.
Seems like a lot of hype for an 8-team, single game, single elimination tourney though... if you can get a bigger field, maybe best out of 3, or round-robin style it would seem like an acheivement more worthy of all the hype you're putting in to it. Three wins should not the A team make.

He is saying that the tournament you are proposing is the minimum required and he doesn't understand going through all of the A-Team trouble for a minimum tournament.

You can increase the number of teams (16 or 32) and keep it a bracket.
You can increase the games per round (best of 3 or 5).
You can make it a round robin where everyone plays everyone else.

You can do some or all of those.

Oh yeah...! I thought of making it more teams if i get enough teams... but the "more games per rounds" rounds good! Btw, how does the round robin work?

Round Robin would just mean that each team plays every other team a set number of games, and the team with the most wins overall wins. A very simple example would be an 8-team round robin, so there'd be 7 rounds, and each round you play a different team.

There are lots of variations of the round-robin format I've seen. For example, if you had 16 teams, you could split in to 4 groups of 4 quad teams, and in the first round teams play every team from their group once, maybe the top 2 from each group advance, leaving you with 8. Split those 8 in to two groups again, play each team once in your group, top 2 advance again, now you're down to 4. Maybe in the finals you play every team once, or maybe 3 times to get more results, team with highest number of wins in the finals is the winner. There are a lot of variations of this you could use. The benefit of this format is that you have to win more than just 3 games to become the A team... it might be more like you have to win 13/16 or even better. The theory being, the more games you play eventually the cream rises to the top. If you do a format like this, it's important to plan ahead how you would handle tie-breakers if needed within the groups.

You'll also need to make the banner for the signature smaller. Maximum size is 600 x 150 pixels (for the whole signature, btw).

That's true. The signature won't be able to be used at that size.

Here is a round robin that I am doing right now: viewtopic.php?f=91&t=160693

Haha, your sig is 12 px to high, you need to lose the text or make your banner 12 px smaller. ;)
