*As of XXVIII, Initechs will expand to have no spoils 1v1 games in certain tournaments; this is a format that has been used already for tiebreakers
INITECHS 1 - 10 show
INITECH INVITATIONAL I: INAUGURAL EVENT April 9, 2009 - December 12, 2009 Initech I was a 32-player, 4-round, 75-game tournament that took place on 40 different maps. Each player had to finish in the top two of a group of four to advance to the next round. All games were standard. Players reaching the finals played 20 games.Champion: Hacx5nine Runner-Up: shoop76 Third Place: lipsondavid INITECH INVITATIONAL II: INTERSTATE EDITION April 28, 2009 - July 22, 2009 Initech II was a 24-player, 3-round, 67-game tournament that took place on all the USA Interstate maps and the USA map. Players had to win a group of 3 to advance to the semifinals and then finish in the top three of an 8-player group to make the finals. All games were terminator. Players reaching the finals played 19 games.Champion: DIBS Runner-Up: danryan Third Place: Peter Gibbons INITECH INVITATIONAL III: NORTH AMERICA June 6, 2009 - September 19, 2009 Initech III was a 25-player, 2-round, 72-game tournament that took place on 12 North American maps. Players had to win a group of 5 that played one game on each map to advance to the finals. The same 12 maps were repeated in the finals. Games were 1/3 standard, 1/3 assassin, 1/3 terminator. Players reaching the finals played 24 games.Champion: ZionT Runner-Up: efreddy Third Place: Peter Gibbons INITECH INVITATIONAL IV: EUROPE July 2, 2009 - September 28, 2009 Initech IV was a 30-player, 3-round, 81-game tournament that took place on 14 European maps. Players had to win a group of 3 that played 6 games on the smaller maps to advance to the semifinals. The semifinals were played in two groups, where each group played 10 games on 10 different maps. The top two in each group advanced to the finals which was one game on the Europa map. Most games were standard, but 3 first round games were assassin and 5 semifinal games were terminator. Players reaching the finals played 17 games.Champion: mzomboracz001 Runner-Up: pridekiller Third Place: Peter Gibbons INITECH INVITATIONAL V: FANTASYLAND July 22, 2009 - September 21, 2009 Initech V was a 24-player, 2-round, 35-game tournament that took place on 5 fictional maps. Players had to win a group of 4 that played one game on each map to advance to the finals. The same maps were repeated in the finals in a group of six. All games were terminator. Players reaching the finals played 10 games.Champion: lipsondavid Runner-Up: Cubs24 Third Place: -=- Tanarri -=- INITECH INVITATIONAL VI: ISLANDS July 31, 2009 - December 26, 2009 Initech VI was a 32-player, 3-round, 52-game tournament that took place on 10 maps. Players had to finish in the top 2 of a group of 4 that played standard games on 5 maps to advance to the semis. Players then had to finish in the top 3 of a group of 8 that played terminator games on 5 different maps to advance to the finals. The remaining 6 players played 10 games, half terminator and half standard, to determine the tournament champion. Players reaching the finals played 20 games.Champion: ZionT Runner-Up: lipsondavid Third Place: morleyjoe INITECH INVITATIONAL VII: ASIA & PACIFIC August 17, 2009 - October 10, 2009 Initech VII was a 20-player, 2-round, 55-game tournament that took place on 11 maps. Players had to win a first round group of 4 that played standard games to qualify for the finals. The final group of 5 repeated the same 11 maps and the winner was tournament champion. Players reaching the finals played 22 games.Champion: Jobiwan Runner-Up: jricart Third Place: RoOkAz INITECH INVITATIONAL VIII: MEDITERRANEAN September 10, 2009 - January 13, 2010 Initech VIII was a 24-player, 3-round, 42-game tournament that took place on 7 maps. All games were terminator. Players played all 7 maps and had to finish in the top four of a first round group of eight to advance. Players then had to finish in the top two of their semifinal group of six, which played the same maps, in order to advance. The final group of 4 repeated the same 7 maps and the winner was tournament champion. Players reaching the finals played 21 games.Champion: lipsondavid Runner-Up: mzomboracz001 Third Place: bkwill INITECH INVITATIONAL IX: CANADA September 20, 2009 - March 18, 2010 Initech IX was a 24-player, 3-round, 60-game tournament that took place on 3 maps. Players played each map twice (once standard, once terminator) in each round. The top 2 from each group of four advanced from the first round to the semifinals. The top 2 from each group of four advanced from the semifinals to the final round. The final round was a group of 6 and the winner was tournament champion. Players reaching the finals played 18 games.Champion: danryan Runner-Up: Enormastitz Third Place: Iron Maid INITECH INVITATIONAL X: WORLD TERMINATION September 26, 2009 - May 12, 2010 Initech X was a 48-player, 4-round, 97-game tournament that took place on 31 maps. All games were terminator. Players played six 8-player games in the first round on large maps. The top five finishers in each group qualified for the quarters. The quarters had seven 6-player games on slightly smaller maps. The top two finishers in each group made the semis. The semis had eight 5-player games on even smaller maps. The top two finishers in each group made the finals. The finals had ten 4-player games on tiny maps. The player with the most points was tournament champion. INITECH INVITATIONAL XI: INTERSTATE x2 October 11, 2009 - November 25, 2009 Initech XI was a 12-team, 2-round, 35-game, doubles tournament that took place on 7 maps. Teams played seven 3-team games in the first round. The group winners reached the finals where the same 7 maps were repeated in 4-team games. Teams in the finals played 14 games.Champion: shoop76 & HighlanderAttack Runner-Up: ViperOverLord & jester1974 Third Place: jackal31 & Zips5000 and Peter Gibbons & bkwill INITECH INVITATIONAL XII: BRITISH ISLES October 18, 2009 - December 13, 2009 Initech XII was a 20-player, 2-round, 60-game tournament that took place on 5 maps. Players played ten 4-player games in the first round--half standard, half terminator. The group winner reached the finals where the same 5 maps were repeated in the same fashion, but with 5-player games. Players reaching the finals played 20 games.Champion: Enormastitz Runner-Up: chiefsfan4ever Third Place: danervinsucks INITECH INVITATIONAL XIII: AMERICAS x3 December 5, 2009 - January 24, 2010 Initech XIII was an 8-team, 3-round, 63-game, 9-map triples tournament. Teams faced off in best-of-nine series through three knockout rounds until a winner was determined. Teams reaching the finals played 27 games.Champion: mongbane , johnkelly00 , & rockfist Runner-Up: Culs de Sac , jcstriker & Snowgun Third Place: Blitzaholic , Big Whiskey & Dividedbyzero and danryan , Hacx5nine & Manny Killer INITECH INVITATIONAL XIV: CONTINENTS December 12, 2009 - July 13, 2010 Initech XIV was a 25-player, 2-round, 36-game, 6-map, standard tournament. Players were divided into groups of five and played six games in the first round. The group winners advanced to the finals, where the same format was repeated. The group winner was tournament champion. Players reaching the finals played 12 games.Champion: bkwill Runner-Up: ZionT Third Place: denthefrog INITECH INVITATIONAL XV: SECRET MISSION December 12, 2009 - February 1, 2010 Initech XV was an 18-player, 3-round, 72-game, 8-map assassin tournament. The same maps were repeated in all 3 rounds and every game in the tournament was a 3-player match. The six first round group winners advanced to the semifinals. The two semifinal group winners and one wildcard advanced to the finals. The player with the most wins in the final group was tournament champion. Players reaching the finals played 24 games.Champion: aligator_al Runner-Up: General Flashman Third Place: Jobiwan INITECH INVITATIONAL XVI: GLOBAL x4 December 30, 2009 - March 16, 2010 Initech XVI was a 16-team, 4-round, 45-game, 3-map quads tournaments. The same 3 maps were repeated in all four rounds. The tournament setup was a simple bracket system, with a best-of-three series in each round. The same 7 maps were repeated in both rounds. Players played 50% standard and 50% terminator, with the group winners in Round 1 advancing to the Finals to repeat the system. Players reaching the finals played 28 games.Champion: lipsondavid Runner-Up: 72o Third Place: rockfist INITECH INVITATIONAL XVIII: OCEANIA x2 March 21, 2010 - June 2, 2010 Initech XVIII was a 12-team, 2-round, 40-game, 8-map doubles tournament. Teams faced off in eight 3-team matches across four groups in the first round. The four group winners advanced to the 8-game final round. Teams reaching the finals played 16 games.Champion: Ufia & xuro Runners-Up: mzomboracz001 & rockfist and mongbane & johnkelly00 INITECH INVITATIONAL XIX: UN P5 x3 March 21, 2010 - May 3, 2010 Initech XIX was an 8-team, 3-round, 35-game, 5-map triples tournament. Teams faced off in best-of-five series through three knockout rounds until a winner was determined. Teams reaching the finals played 15 games.Champion: General Mojo , Mcapizzi & Solidorange .Runner-Up: morleyjoe , anonymus & Genoke Third Place: Peter Gibbons , bkwill & ZionT and Pander88uk , brian fletcher & Master Fenrir INITECH INVITATIONAL XX: G8 March 28, 2010 - July 14, 2010 Initech XX was a 16-player, 2-round, 120-game, 8-map, mixed tournament. The same maps were used in both rounds. The top player from each of the four first round groups advanced to the finals, where the championship group of four was played. INITECHS 21 - 30 show
INITECH INVITATIONAL XXI: POLAR WARS May 8, 2010 - October 4, 2010 Initech XXI was a 30-player, 1-round, 126-game, 6-map, mixed tournament. It was the first Initech to involve a single table league system. All players participated in 18 games. Different point values were assigned to different types of games. The player with the most points at the end of the tournament was champion.Champion: lipsondavid Runner-Up: LucaV Third Place: beckymv INITECH INVITATIONAL XXII: WORLD LEAGUE July 18, 2010 - August 8, 2011 Initech XXII was a 36-player, 2-round, 124-game, 43-map mixed discipline tourney. Players selected one of three geographic groups for the first round and played a series of games across standard, terminator and assassin disciplines. The top two finishers from each group advanced to a 6-player final, where 2 maps were carried over from each group and 4 world-based maps were used. Several tiebreakers were necessary to reach a conclusion.Champion: dowian2 Runner-Up: mzomboracz001 Third Place: Leehar INITECH INVITATIONAL XXIII: TERMINATE 2010 December 26, 2010 - March 21, 2011 25-player, 2-round, 90-game, 15-map, terminator tournament. All players were guaranteed 15 games. The first round was a point-based group system. Group winners advanced to the final round, where the same process was repeated. Players reaching the finals played 30 games.Champion: lipsondavid Runner-Up: ZionT Third Place: Peter Gibbons INITECH INVITATIONAL XXIV: MICRO MANIA February 1, 2011 - May 21, 2011 64-player, 6-round, 46-game, double-elimination, 6-map, standard tournament. All players were guaranteed 2 games. Players reaching the finals played 7 or 8 games, depending on their individual results.Champion: Peter Gibbons Runner-Up: overlander Third Place: murphy16 INITECH INVITATIONAL XXV: OLYMPIC GAMES March 14, 2011 - December 8, 2011 64-player, multi-discipline tourney. Players registered in 4-person teams and played Quads, Doubles, Standard, Assassin and Terminator disciplines. General achievement medals were awarded for the winners of each discipline, with an overall tournament champion crowned based on a mathematical formula. Each player played a minimum of 26 games, with the tournament including at least 484 games overall.Champion: Gilligan Runner-Up: tec805 Third Place: Deli INITECH INVITATIONAL XXVI: RAILS x3 May 17, 2011 - August 27, 2001 9-team, triples tournament played on the four rail maps. First round involved 3 groups of three teams each with the group winners progressing to the finals, where the process was repeated. The teams reaching the finals played 16 games each.Champions: aaronvollrath , bigroo4601 , & aspalm Runners-Up: lipsondavid , mzomboracz001 , & morleyjoe Third Place: osujacket , dividedbyzero , & pascalleke INITECH INVITATIONAL XXVII: ISLANDS x2 July 31, 2011 - September 27, 2001 16-team doubles tournament played on 11 different island-based maps. Simple bracket was followed, with the top 16 players getting a bye into the second round. Semifinals and Finals were best-of-three series. First round was a two-group league based system and the final was a best-of-three playoff. Updated with medalists for XI. Initechs I, VI, VIII, IX, X and XII are still active. I am delaying the unveiling of XIII and XIV until two more are finished. The Inaugural event still has one last game to complete. Initech VI is also very close to complete.

Updated with medalists for Initech I, which is finally over. VI and XII are one game away from completion each; IX not far behind. VIII is nearing the final stage. That leaves X & XIII as the other two active Initechs. I plan to unveil XIV & XV shortly.

Just a general series update: X - World Termination - is in the semifinal stage XIV - Continents - is at the final two games, with only two possible winners XVII - Euro Empires - is in the finals XVIII - Oceania x2 - is approaching the finals XIX - UN P5 x3 - is in the semifinals XX - G8 - is in the first round XXI is designed and I'm working on XXII and XXIII, which both involve maps that are about to enter Beta testing. Look for me to unveil those three when Euro Empires, Oceania and UN P5 x3 end (which I expect to be the next three to conclude).

Updated with info from XIV. Champions for XVIII and XX are determined, but I'm waiting for a few games to finish to see who finishes second and third. XVII & XXI are the two active Initechs at the moment...

Yes and I just added his most recent silver medal.
Everything is updated--first one in awhile. 29 and 30 were added to the first two posts.
So, right now, 25, 31 and 33 are active. 25 is down to its last game (of 490+!) and 31 is down to the final series of three games.
32 is taking registrants.

And we are updated fully. lipsondavid with a somewhat comfortable lead in the overall medal count. Two tournaments are active (34 & 35).
