I like the seahorse - it did take me a while to see that it was a horse in the sea... (With a mermaid style tail)... I was looking at it thinking - that looks nothing like a seahorse!!

should the title text and bottom text curve around the globe? seems a bit more natural to me, as you have a visual tangent going on currently and its not so hot.

Hmm... I actually like how this looks better than I thought I would. Both lines of text now bump the graphics, but a light glow the same color as the background makes it quite readable. What are your thoughts, everybody?

Loving that last tweak Oak - I reckon that's the icing on the pudding - great suggestion Mibi.

The curved one is better but I don't like the text bumping with the graphics.

Agreed... here's a fix on the lower text, not much I can do about the top. I think I like this better because it gets the inset map off the borders.

Actually, I have one more nitpick. In the 16th century, the coast of Europe was pretty well documented in maps. Could you change the shape of the coasts of western Europe to be a bit more accurate?

I'm aware that the one area that should be represented most accurately - Europe - has as many if not more inaccuracies as any other region. However, many of the liberties I've taken with the European coastline (Italy is cocked too far south, the Adriatic is way too big, Denmark is cut off, the Bosporus is out of proportion, Spain is too far from Africa, etc.) came about as a result of gameplay necessities. Openings to the many seas around Europe had to be widened significantly to allow visible borders, and seas were increased in size to fit army counts.

When this map started out Europe was pretty accurately portrayed, but gameplay needs have trumped history/geography in many respects.

Hmm,i think that you dont need these + in Bonus legend. If i know all maps dont have these addition to bonus number. Just left Numbers without +.

I disagree with this actually...

In this instance it might look like the continents are numbered 1-6 - and people would ask - why have you numbered 2 continents 4?
