How did you get it to work?

I have FireFox 3.0.1 and I just downloaded ConquerTell version 1.1.9, clicked look for updates, it didn't find any, and it is not working.

I really loved this add-on but can't get it to work again.

In firefox 3.0.1 click on the 'Tools' menu, select 'Add-ons'. Then hit the 'find updates' button at the bottom right of the 'Add-Ons' window. It should then give you an option to update.

Am I the only one that is bothered that the pop up menu isn't lined up correctly? Its not that bad - if you are on a one monitor setup. In that case it appears a little above where it should, but when I'm on 2 monitors and Firefox is on the right monitor, when I right click the menu comes up on the left side of the screen. Is this going to be fixed in a near future update?

I'm guessing you are the only one. Send me a screen shot if possible? Or PM me with a more detailed description of where it appears?

This also happens to me on my double monitors. On my single monitor computer, it shows up just fine... I'm soooooooo happy this extension works again, it's a great one! Thanks jonducrou!

it says no updates found

the bars show game status that is not current - getting green lights when it is not actually my turn, must be referencing measurements it took in the past and recorded somewhere instead of actually checking.

I'll wager what's happening is the RSS feed (created by conquerclub and used by conquertell) is being cached (stored and not collected again) somewhere, most likely by your ISP because FireFox is pretty smart at caching. When I viewed your feed all games were in 'waiting'.

No easy solution for this... Anyone else strike this problem?

but the previous version worked so I don't believe it is because of any change in my ISP

Mine just says "(loading)" where the red/green lights should be. Uninstalling and reinstalling does nothing. Any ideas?

Whoa, now out of the blue it is working. Well, not totally out of the blue. I just uninstalled some add ons thinking there was some sort of conflict and it works again.

I think I uninstalled firefusk, and url unwrap or something. Both of these weren't compatible with 3.x, but I had left them installed incase an update came available. I seem to recall url unwrap had something sitting down in the bar near where CT sits. Would this cause some sort of conflict?

Amazing! I'm glad it's working again... I have no idea how they would conflict, but i imagine it is possible. Thanks so much for letting me (and everyone) know why it was not working!

For those of you waiting for an update to make this compatible with Firefox 3.0.1, i have a solution:

Nightly Tester Tools.

These will allow you to right-click any add on and force install, regardless of compatibility.

Bug:

Just now, all my game icons have turned to "turn in progress" arrows. I have 1.1.9 installed, and it was working prefectly fine until just now.

So, its the RSS feed, not the extension that has the problem?

I really like my ConquerTell Notifier and I have a question:

where did the bugle sound come from? And does the extension store this on my computer? Because I would like to use for some other means than ConquerTell, so can anyone tell me how to get this audiofile?

I was a free sound bite I found on the net. The file will be local - and its in the plugins directory. If you can't find it PM me your email and I'll send it.

ConquerTell 1.1.9 is not compatible with Firefox 3.0.8

Is there a new one I don't have or are you working on it?
