Ooooo.... awesome new map. The game play looks pretty awesome. I think I would enjoy this map a ton.... if I could see it. It's pretty dark and I think adding some light and saturation to the map would go a long way.

It's a great concept and I think you guys have a real gem here, save my graphics quippling, I look forward to seeing this map continue.

Yes Brighter is better, but looks nice. :D Also might want to fix the boarders so we know which is homeland or not? Cool Concept.

Nice, brilliant idea :D

Not so sure on the graphics-look a bit modern with the black and bright colours. I think a lot could be done with a bit more of a 18th century look : http://www.columbia.edu/~jkk2003/Africa_1885.jpg

I'll post this just so everyone can see, this is the 1914 claims on africa:

Also, a couple of the flags are wrong for the period:

I think this must be my monitor. I had the same problem with European Rev. To me it looks fine by the rest of the world sees is as to dark.

Luckily, I set up a layer to brighten it if need be :D

Thanks for those bas :)

Although themewise, I dont believe it look modern at all. It may not be in an 18th century theme but I am happy with that :)

Interesting... all terts get atleast +1 auto deploy at the beginning of each turn.. Do i understand this correctly.. Other than that nice map.. I like the idea that all the countries surround africa.. That will be intersting for gameplay.. Maybe brightening the numbers will help with the dark look.. =D>

Do people start with the african homelands or just the european?

I would make a version with numbers on before you go too far with the graphics, the numbers on the flags may be hard to see/make the flags hard to see.

Otherwise that lightening up helps quite a bit, it could well be your moniter there.

I'm confused as to what the landing points are... the flags touch multiple territories.

New World is one of my favorite maps and this one looks like a great sequel. I'm wondering how balanced it will be though if someone starts with an african kingdom. They are gonna have a ton of borders and, even though they will receive +1 on every territory, so will the Europeans. The Europeans on the other hand, won't have as many borders, plus they recieve extra bonuses on their landing points that the africans don't. Is it possible with the current XML to make it so that you only receive the +1 on all territories if you hold an African Kingdom? I think that would even the playing field a bit more.

Nah, if you start with the african tribes you get all three to start with, that is +12 off the bat. plus neutrals will be tweeked to keep things balanced.

note-should of added that info to the first page.

Thats terr forming. I am not intrested in doing that for this map in the slightest. It's ok for something like Feudal war since its a made up land but on a real geographic location it would be alot of hard work and annoying tinkering. I much prefer this look.
