The SEC just whipped up on this year's wannabee division. Final score BCS Championship Florida 41-OSU 14

Once again illustrates what a tough conference the SEC is. No way OSU would have been undefeated had they played a SEC schedule. Point proven last night.

The Big Ten won two out of three against the SEC this bowl season. Wisconsin dismantled the western division champ Razorbacks and Penn State slapped Tennessee in the mouth.

but if you are trying to say that the SEC is better as a whole, your arguement falls through that you have the best team. If the big 10 won 2 out of 3, they appear to be the strong confrence, not the SEC. And i'm pretty unbiased seeing how I don't give a hoot about any teams in either confrence.

Well...I'm man enough to own up...Lord knows I've been talking more than my fair share of shit...

I'm a huge Big Ten fan...that being said, our two biggest dogs (Michigan and Ohio State) got their asses handed to them...
While I do believe that judging a team based on the outcome of one game (see 2006 Arkansas vs. USC opener) is idiotic, it's all that we as fans have to go by...

So, congrats to the Pac-10 and SEC conferences! Now, wouldn't it be nice to see Florida mix it up with Boise State or USC? Here's to hoping for a playoff system in 2010...

I would love to see a playoff system. I think there is a TON of money being missed out on, plus it would be more exciting for the fans. There are just so many more benefits to a playoff system as opposed to a bowl system, They really need to switch.

Dismantled? I didn't watch the game but the final stats don't show me anything that would be called a dismantling.

Wisconsin won by 3 and outgained Arkansas in the air 206 to 136.
But, Arkansas outrushed Wisconsin 232 to -5 and the total yards was 368 to 201 in favor of Arkansas.

Sure Wisconsin won, but dismantled?

Its hilarious that the all glorious gators lost a game, while Boise State remained undefeated, so the BCS is screwed again

Wolf, I'm about as rabid of an SEC fan as there is, but please don't point to the out-of-conference record to support what you and I know to be the truth - that the SEC really is the dominant conference (and from my visit to the Buckeyes message board, they seem to agree, at least for this year, they say). Truth is the SEC out-of-conference schedule is soft. This is tempered, of course, by the extremely gruelling IN-conference schedule, the likes of which no team in any other conference can fathom.

still funny and BSU played some good teams, the reason the BCS needs playoffs, then the top eight teams or so face off and we don't end up like this

well no kidding, but in my mind, it's obvious FLA is better than BSU....

Actually I think FLA vs. Boise would make an interesting game. 2 fast paced teams with a lot of trick plays.
