Yes, the ice passes start at 2 neutrals. For the note ... Like you said there really isn't another option. I'll reduce the opacity of the lines a tad.

Update with fixed centering shortly.

And why is greenland not green?

And the instructions on ice passes are only in English, it should be English subtitles on the original native Greenlandian?

Plus the beat in the native language is too modern for an ancient culture.

And the water texture is wrong - it doesn't reflect the undersea maps publicly available.

And why is the ice cap white? Why isn't there yellow snow. You need a reason the area costs -1 per turn.

Actually I quite like the map.

sorry, i knew that and misquoted... I'll edit.

Anyway, the final stamp is coming... we've always given maps more than a week at this stage, so no reason to rush things and upset our delicate foundry balance. ;)

My only gripe is the title. I like the font and the gradient, but just not the water reflection (if that's what it's suppose to be). It looks really strange. Like the reflection is floating above the text or something. Is there anyway you could work on that? Maybe sort of like I did the Iceland title?

I read it, and tried changing it … I just don't think it matters. I mean, I could even put a rebuttal on it (the contrast against the standard "Municipial Bonuses" makes it look better to one's eye), but that's not the point, I just don't really think it warrants a change …

I'm inclined to the following graphically, but I fear it'd be TOO similar to Iceland … What do others think?

well don't do the exact same reflection, but maybe just clean up yours a bit. I think you can do better than it is - although it shouldn't prevent this map from moving on. Nice work 44.

If i remember correctly, Oceania was dealing with changes in title, while in the FF. I think we could continue working on the title (if you want to) and have it still move into FF.

              Final Forge

---The Greenland Map has reached the ‘Final Forge’ Stage. The map has passed rigorous gameplay and graphics examinations, and major concerns have been addressed. If you have any other concerns, please make your voice heard. As long as there is still discussion or posts that have yet to be commented on, the map will remain in Final Forge until said discussion has reached the conclusion that the map has reached its final and polished version. After a reasonable amount of time has been given for final comment, and after the completion of the XML, the map will be deemed finished with the 'Foundry Brand' of approval and will be submitted for live play.

Post questions and concerns if any.

I would NOT worry about it being similar to Iceland. The mirror reflection technique is all the rage in the graphics world at the moment. Every other commercial on TV or in print is using it. It is NOT original. But it is pretty kickass if done correctly. 8-)

I personally think that this is a great map...it's simple and interesting. It may be a little bit like Iceland, but more CC maps are similar so that is fine.
