Add a link for people to enter a game

When I create a game, I then send email to the friends that I want to join me in the game. In this email, I give them the game # and the password.

If would be nice if CC would generate a link to a newly created game that could be placed in an email so that joiners would simply have to click the link to be sent to the specific game page. The password shouldn't be embedded in that URL, probably.

Not to be obtuse, but I still don't quite get what I need to do. What exactly would I place into an email that would link directly to a particular game?

You wouldn't put that in an email. You should use the Private Message function of CC. Then you can use the [to] tags, described above.

Unless there's a way to have PMs forwarded to email, this probably won't be very effective for me. Then it will take even longer to get my friends into a game I start because I'll have to wait for them to go to CC randomly and see their PM.

You could always use the following url, but replace the number 123456 with the relevant game number...

I don't see what's wrong with sending PMs though... your friends should be checking in every 24hrs in any case; and if it's a private game, what's the deal in waiting a little while??

In a PM, all you need to do is put the game number inside [game][/game] tags...

And if your friends only play on CC occasionally then they can set up their user preferences to send them an email alert whenever they receive a PM...
