Congrats to sonicsteve, Jboy, Dako, and stringybeany on winning this tournament on a huge map.

This is a Tournament Players Association (TPA) event, and is governed by its rules, guidelines, and judgments. All are welcome to join and participate in the association. You need do nothing more than join one or more of the TPA events that will be announced each Monday. Check back on the TPA scoreboard in the Tournaments--> General Info forum to see how you're doing.

My tournament in the TPA is a quads tournament, so get your team together. The queen of the hive has died and now you are trying to elect another queen before the hive completely falls apart. However everyone wants their own candidate for improved favor with royalty. This tournament will take place on the hive map, but there is a small twist. Each team will have a leader(sent to me by pm please for secrecy) and if your team's leader is killed before the other team's leader is, then you lose, regardless if you win the game(hence the reason for sending me the leader through pm rather than posting in the forum). You will be allowed to change your team leader between rounds, just give me a heads up, otherwise I will assume you are sticking with the same leader.

The settings for the tournament are:
automatic
sequential
escalating
unlimited
foggy

As it may be possible to be in multiple games at once, I ask for premium only please. That's it, good luck everyone.

edit: freeminums are allowed, but be warned that the possibility that multiple games going on at once is possible(to a max of 4, which is slim I think)

I think you spelled "anarchy" incorrectly. :)

If you want to make it fast and normal on Hive only map - please change the settings to unlimited. You haven't played on Hive map you don't have a clue how hard (and long) it is to play with chained forts.

And how many games are planned for each round? What are the brackets?

Tks.

it's 1 game per round(y'know big map and all) with the bracket determined by random.org

I wish all the TPA events weren't premium only...it isn't like I'm not competent enough to make sure I have a space open

yeah, sorry bout that. I know how it feels, but I know that hive games could take a while and it is possible that all 4 rounds will go on at once.(Slim chance, but possible). So I doubt that you want all of your possible games to be for this tournament.

Out of curiosity, how could 2 rounds possibly be played at once? Isn't it single-elimination?

it is, but like I stated before you lose if your leader is killed before the other teams leader is. Meaning that if half the teams have their leader killed in the round 1 games(I mean 1 team per game) then I will consider that round over and move on to the next, even if the games are still going

There are times when slow is preferable to fast. You should be open to experimentation.
I bet you'd find a long hard one quite pleasurable, Dako. :P
