Winner: HighlanderAttack

Have you ever felt left out?
Have you ever tried to join a tourney and had too many wins?
Have you have ever played too many games so you were left out?
Have you ever won too many titles so you were told to go away?

If you answered yest to any of the above questions this tourney is for you.

Actually this tourney is for everyone and anyone--even TheCrown is invited--even though he continues to make me cry on my pillow because he excludes me. The pain in my heart is just unknown to him--I want him to know I am hurt.

Everyone is invited:
For this tournament all can play-low ranked-high ranked-foes-friends-mods-low lifers-dumb asses-miss too many turns kind of players-bad players-great players-The Conqueror -girls-boys-men and ladies--even kid's can play--Politicians-bums-unemployed-losers-team players-I might even let a dog or a cat play-but they may have a hard time signing up. No exclusions.

HA's Strain your Brain you can't play:

Three maps per round: Arms Race-Battle of Iraq-Stalingrad
16 entrants
1v1, 2 player games
Auto
Seq
chained reinforcements
escalating spoils
sunny

It will be a normal 16 team bracket non seeded. I will use random.org to create the seeds.

All 4 rounds will be 2of3

To sign up, just post to this thread

I will take reserves, but only for round 1 if someone does not join.

When I send a pm you have 48 hours to join or you are automatically forfeited. If I have time I send a reminder, but that should not be expected.

It will be a normal 16 team bracket non seeded. I will use random.org to set the match ups.
I will use reverse set up to make the match ups-1-8 will play 16-9. Basically each round will have the lowest number playing the highest number. I will just make this list, cut it in half and reverse the higher numbers. PM me if you have questions-these will be posted each round.

Anyone with less than 99% turns taken may be left out of the tourney without a decent excuse that they will play the games without missing turns. (not used)

Foed players may be left out of the tourney. (not used)

Players that do not join games or miss turns may not be allowed into future tourneys. (not used)

I hope this covers everything.

Feel free to ask questions.

lol, I've been too busy with RL to take the whole discussion about these tournies on the forum (though I have whined to HA). I think upper limits in tournaments are a mockery that completely devalues tournament trophies and I can't believe they are allowed.

On another note HA - you are by far the biggest crybaby on CC, but I loved the pic. Actually looks kind of me from when I was a kid (except for the crying).

Oh, I'm in btw. Unless I'm not welcome :P

Oh, and Krissan, not to belittle you, but when was the last time you saw 80 year olds competing against 25 year olds in the same marathon? And you really think the trophies are devalued because of my tourneys? Really? Because I print out my trophies and paste them all over my bedroom wall, what do you do with yours? That's how important they are, not that it's fun to win or anything.... in fact, I am waiting for a CC contract where I earn thousands of dollars a year playing games on here... wow, so serious.

Yes-controversy is brewing in my thread --you know I love it--hmm--I see a set up for the first round of my tourney or even better--opposite sides of the bracket

Krissan vs TheCrown

Actually, this september I believe. Check out some local ultrarunning competitions and you'd be surprised ;)

Nothing personal Crown, but yeah - it irritates me when you're setting an upper limit on games played/tourneys won. HA would probably agree if he didn't have such a huge game load. I might have to start a series of "Not open for anyone with 150+ tourney wins" for him not to mock me that I don't like this. =)

Considering the same trophy is awarded for a 16-man 1v1 single elimination tourney as for bizzarely huge efforts like the "Every Single Setting" tournament, this is a small, petty point to discuss. Both those types of tourrnaments are open to everybody though, that's the difference. For the record: I don't like tournies with minimum requirements either, but by far not as big a deal as upper limits.

In the marathon scenario, my point is that the 80 year olds would get their own awards because they give them out based on age ranges. Nice try.

I have the best idea ever--every organizer should exclude players with 150+ titles--then I can get back to real life.

Here is my real opinion--I think it is weak to have tourneys that exclude the better players--at the same time--I dont have an issue with is-but playing in them also makes TC look like he is out for weaker competition--he did kick my ass in arms race after telling me gg today though.

I have had a general, a few colonels and many majors in my tourneys. It's not weaker, just don't have the oldies, but goodies guys who have every inch of every map memorized. And, I am the weaker competition.... so don't fear me. I have had 1 open tourney for everyone to join, and it is going fine too. Good thing there are plenty of tourneys to join out there, otherwise I might be forced to conform... LOL.
