I like it! I like it alot!

now splitting it up into 3 suggestions? Sure why not! If all implemented you could still choose all 3 to make the castle game but like 'ordinary' risk here you could choose any setting!

Also it would be a bit easier to implement instead of all at once? It will take a lotta work but i think you got 3 winners here :)

YOu know further thinking about it just the card variation would make a huge differencein game play and that portion would probably be the hardest to implement but the different fazes of this would be revolutionary here and attract loads of new recruits

Also the troops at the end of turn would make people bolder and more daring in there attacks with more thought given to the turn at hand then on the next turn

I'm on board for this. I've always loved Castle Risk and think it would be a great addition to CC. That said, it would be better as 3 separate options in the game creation menu.

If nothing else, I would like to see Castle/Capitol games where everyone chooses their base in the first turn. No attacks, just fortification and the bases/fortifications are not revealed until everyone has completed their initial round.
There is no luck, only preparation and execution.

Alliances are for the weak, whimpering masses looking for someone to hold their hand through the storm.

I believe that if all of theoptions that make it are addes as options then we will have a much more dynamic CC and the capture the flag is just a watered down variation of this

I mean it is easily possibly for to part the castl part and the armies at end of turn versus beginning the hardest part would be the new cards sets

It's a shame nothing is being done about this - it's a fantastic idea. Need to get someone like lack or andy to have a proper look at it

here is a break down of how it should be implemented if and and when it occurs, as has been posted previously it should be done piece by piece and in doing so you will create a wide variety of game variations

1st- the get reinforcements at end of turn- the dynamics that change will make the game play way more dynamic and change the approach on how you start and end a turn, this will probably be the easiest part as far as change in game engine middleware coding

2nd- would be the capital dynamic it would take some adjusting but the groundwork is there with assassin games and would just have to be further altered to where it was one territory designated by the individual, also creating the ability to select that 1 territory will take some doing in itself. Ontop of that a decision will have to made asto what happens with the enemies troops once he is eliminated whether they will become neutral or go to the conquerer this could be another option onto itself add further choice for gameplay

will post more later...

Castle Risk

Postby Anarchist on Tue Jun 19, 2007 4:32 am

Castles represented by a dice
Placed randomly or selective placement(1 each)

Castles could represent;
1) Nothing(just a one dice fort)
2) Cards(loose a castle, loose your cards)
3) The Monarchy(loose a castle, loose your armies)
4) Keep the king(loose a castle, elimination, armies turn neutral)

thoughts?

Seems kind of confusing, the advantage of using armies is that they can move around, I guess you could place castles or fortifications instead of armies. They could have bonus defense but wouldn't be able to move.

I agree it would have to be set as options, ive never played it in that particular way. Some other options;
1) Nothing(just a one dice fort)
2) Cards(loose a castle, loose your cards)
3) The Monarchy(loose a castle, loose your armies)
4) Keep the king(loose a castle, elimination, armies turn neutral)
