Elevenses: cup of tea with ginger snaps.

Lunch. I get two choices
1) (Light Lunch snack) Pio Tosini Palma ham (have eaten Pio Tosini for years, won't try another). with sun dried and sun blushed tomatoes with a fine Chardonnay
2) (Heavy Lunch snack) Medium sliced Fillet steak (very rare) thinly layered with good quality patƩ topped with a Parmigiano-Reggiano salad, all in a freshly baked (but not hot) ciabatta. Washed down with a Gevrey Chambertin.

This sees me through to tea time.

This sounds a lot better than the can of ravioli I just ate.

they have ravioli in can's over there?

Like most Chinese people I prefer to begin with raw patriotism for breakfast, move on to a slice of rank nationalism for lunch and finish off with tibetan dissident on toast for supper.

Heh.

Actually and much more boringly I tend to begin the day with cereal (after coffee and a fag), bacon, beans on toast etc etc for lunch and I prefer to have a good proper meal (Chinese or Western) in the evening.

Breakfast is usually yogurt mixed with freshly diced strawberries and bananas and topped with some nutty granola.

I want your breakfast.

In other news, I plan on feasting on some lasagna in a couple hours to the sound of some Speed Doodles.

I was able to pick up a reflection in an object in one of the photos by one of the frequent visitors to this thread (I won't say who) and was able to pull together this image:

On something of a diet here unfortunately. The winter weight gain gets harder to shed year by year.

Cook has decided I am to eat lots of nuts and raisins, fresh fruit and hi fibre wheat products.

I thought I was being clever earlier when I sneaked in the Kitchen and cut a large wedge of mature Somerset Brie along with a hefty chunk of Colliers Welsh Cheddar to consume along with a tumbler of Port. Unfortunately I was caught in flagrante, linen serviette wrapped around my swag in one hand, tumbler of Port in the other and was chased from said Kitchen (well I was bloody starving I tell you). In disgrace I have had to suffer a meagre dinner of leaf salad doused with Balsamic and a few lonely looking grilled asparagus (without my usual bowl of home made Hollandaise).

I have been warned that this weeks order for food has been tailored yet further in the pursuit of ensuring I lose weight. :(

Oh! My mistake, the last picture I posted was from my personal photos of our family get-together last labor day weekend. Boy do I feel foolish. Here is the photo I meant to post:

Aww come on people, lighten up I didn't mean to pour cold water on anything. In fact, I don't have any clue what any of you look like and would like to keep it that way. That being said...

Have had nothing yet today either with Conquer Club, but I think I'll grab a late lunch when I have a few spare moments. Maybe a sandwich or a burger.

Making a good steak is easy.

You take a slab of meat, pound it until it surrenders, add salt and pepper.

Heat the frying pan hot as hell and pour some oil on it, then throw the slabs of meat on the pan.

Cook on both sides until meat turns into a steak. Congratulations, you are now a proud owner of a steak.
