Just in the last few days, we're finally seeing some eliminations in the Nordic games. Maybe I'll try to get the next game going by Saturday.

BTW, you could always put the log extracts in spoiler tags, as below. Not a big deal, but it keeps things a tiny bit tidier.

I, Kennys777, have held Iceland and received the bonus for rounds 12 and 13. I was the first player to do it, therefore I am claiming my bonus points for this game. I have highlighted the round numbers and the actual bonuses received by me...

I have a slot open right now (and I am also playing Nordic and Iceland), so put me in for the next game too.

1865 From the earth to the moon De la terre à la lune
1870 Around the moon Autour de la lune

From the Earth to the Moon tells the story of the president of a post-American Civil War gun club in Baltimore, his rival, a Philadelphia maker of armor, and a Frenchman, who build an enormous sky-facing Columbiad space gun and launch themselves in a projectile/spaceship to the Moon.

The map played is USA, and the bonus is for holding BOTH Maryland and Pennsylvania for 3 rounds. I interpret this to mean that you must hold both Maryland and Pennsylvania simultaneously. All other rules of the special bonuses still apply. Normally I try to put a description of the bonus in the game label, but in this case it was just too long, so the game label just says to look in the tournament thread.

show: Act II Round 1 Map 3

I realize that some of our freemium players do not have a vacant slot. I won't disqualify you for not having a slot available provided that you let me know and are trying to free one up. Please communicate. Post in the tournament thread, send me a PM, wall me, something. Don't just refuse an invite and leave me wondering. If you miss two invites without communicating I will disqualify you.

Since I guess we've accepted that DJENRE isn't coming back and this is my tourney now, I've plugged it into my ongoing list:

My list of tournaments thus far:
My FIRST tournament: Dukasaur's Knucklehead Tournament
My SECOND tournament: Intensities in Ten Cities!
My THIRD tournament: DK's 3-3-3
My FOURTH tournament: DK's CC Scrabble
My FIFTH tournament: A Fifth of Dukasaur
My SIXTH tournament: DK's koontz-style tourney
My SEVENTH tournament: Jules Verne Contest (rescued from its original creator DJENRE)
My EIGHTH tournament: LOTTERY V (rescued from its original creator DJENRE)
My NINTH tournament: History of Nuclear War I

History of Nuclear War I is still actively recruiting.

We've got a whole pile of people who have missed their first invite. I know a few who are freemiums with slot problems, but there are a few premiums in the group, too. For now I've just reinvited everyone, tomorrow I'll look at who might have a longer-term problem.

Edit, Tuesday: Ok, four of seven managed to accept their second invite, so now our watch list is:

All games on the U.S.A. map have now successfully begun!

Just a reminder:

The Nordic Nations games going fairly slow, but the games on the much smaller Iceland map seem to be going much faster. We may be finished with Map 2 before we finish with Map 1.

Is there a table where we can see the points of each player (and how far he's advanced in the maps)?

Not yet. It's on my to-do list for the next week or so.

Very few of the round 2 games are finished, so I haven't been rushing with it.

I got the bonus for 9145018. Took Iceland in round 16. Still holding it after all turns in round 19. Four players left. Red and Yellow should be able to confirm my claim.

Good man Bob! =D>

Duk dude i'd love to know how the 'teams' are doing, i'd say after this round of games a points table would be very helpful. Not a fun task but may the force be with you ;)

Bonuses FAQ

God, will there ever be a day when I can stop answering this question? It's "at least 4 players" not "only 4"

I have two slots I'm ready for lunar war and the arctic. The objective on the lunar is just to hold 2 mares for 3 rounds? Sounds like a race! I like it.

Okay I'll try to get those started in the next couple days. Looks like all the Iceland games are ending quickly, and even many of the Nordic games have finally started ending.

The biggest problem is I still have to sit down and finally finish the spreadsheed for the scores.

Okay, here's the spreadsheets for the first two rounds. Unfortunately they're too large to upload directly to CC and hosting the images on photobucket makes the resolution too poor to read, so I'm going to have to work on the technical details of how to actually make them visible. I'm too tired to do any more tonight. Anybody who has any expertise with this let me know.
