you have several borders on the map that don't quite go all the way.

I should have an update within the weekend. On another note... Why I am seemingly struggling with color choices?

the green map looks awqsome. but it needs some colours for bonuses, yes.

hm, I am not expert on Baltic states (albeit I did map from this area :-s ), but I think there are no mountains. there are enough rivers which you can use as impassables...

Version 8:
Still some items to fix but this is the next version. I need to fix the legend first then finish the territories and pick colors.

Yup, the legend needs fixed as you mentioned, but what about impassables? Currently you only have the river.

I think victory conditions might be out of place on this map. I like the clear cut emphasis and graphics it has going so far.

there's an unnecessarily-large number of bonus zones. west estonia and islands estonia can be combined usefully, for example, to form a proper continent in the classic sense. islands estonia especially ought to be eliminated as a stand-alone bonus because of its small size and isolated location.

thematically, lithuania is the largest country by area, population and size of economy, yet has the smallest number of regions! something a bit wrong there!

I am working on getting another version up, which will have more graphic updates such as getting the impassables back up and in. Just got back from being out a week. Should be soonish!

As you are updating the graphic, can you make the lines running through the map more consistent. They are strong in blue and invisible in red.

They are the same all the way through. What you are seeing is the color blend.

I figured that out all on my own :o , but try to make them stronger in the reds and less in the blue so it looks consistent.

So when can we be expecting an update? I'd like to figure through any nitpicks I've got and it's hard to do with the present state of things. ;)

Yeah Bruce, stop being such a lazy slob!

The new style of this map is looking quite nice, so it'd be a shame to stall it now.

Re: Baltic States: [11 Jul 2011] v9 Pg 8 Trees?

Postby Bruceswar on Wed Aug 03, 2011 3:30 am

Trees? I need new ones I think. Any ideas?

How are the colors on the territory bonuses?

Should I fix the Legend better?

What about those hills in the impassables? Fix those also?

it's generally a good idea to post what changes you've made from the previous update.
i see you've added impassables on the map. what else?

I have added the impassbles back
Fixed the Legend
Fixed territory colors (They work for the color blind)

Now I am not sure I like the trees I have right now. Do you have any suggestions?
Should I change the bonus colors any?

The grid is a nice addition, but it's a bit distracting - can you put it under the territory border layer?

I like the grid a lot too, but agree with Natty above to move it down. I don't mind the trees, but there might be a better one out there. Not the hill to die for though.
