The ferry and the train seem a bit superfluous. What is the point of having the two killer neutrals protecting that one inconsequential territory?

The reason for Malmö and Flensburg, is because there live so many Danes there, eg. they speaks German just as well as Danish in south Jutland, and I thought it might give a little with some areas that are outside the bonus areas.

Bornholm is an island which has always been somewhat isolated but strategically placed in the Baltic Sea, this is not so diffrent than the Third crusade with the English Channel.

On Third Crusade the english channel is protecting a bonus area. Which also has a direct attack route to the east.
On your map Bornholm is a part of a bonus, and doesn't yield anything on its own.

I'm not disputing Bornholm's historic importance, just that it is not particularly important to the gameplay on this map, the way it's drawn out at the moment.

Tolke, thx for your input, i have worked on that issue, and know thers a long way still.

After thinking carefully over all of your good and useful comments, I have made following changes:

1. Flensburg and Malmö are dropped, Denmark is already strategic difficult to move around in, so I can see that it does not need to be more difficult.

2. The boundaries have been drawn up and purified.

3. Text box was a bit confusing, I hope that it is better to understand now.

Things I need to do: Attack routes, troop placement areas, some effects around, so it's not as boring to watch.

Feel free to give some feedback :P

The degradation is because you're saving as a low-quality JPEG. Try a PNG or high-quality JPEG instead.

Still, the degradation doesn't explain the pixelation on the borders. I don't know photoshop, but perhaps someone who does can tell you how to draw smooth borders with it...

First of all, what version of Photoshop? Secondly, what are you using to draw the outlines? To me it looks like you are using a pencil. Try using a brush instead to do the outlines. I like to use a 3px brush for the map outline and bonus borders, and a 2px brush for the territory borders. Take a look at my Fractured China map to see what I mean about the map outline and borders.

If you have any questions, please feel free to pm me anytime. :)

Iam using high-quality JEPG and it looks fine when called from my hard drive but from imageshack it looks reduced.

Do you have an account at imageshack?

That's no good. Blur is not a replacement for anti-aliasing, it simply blends near pixels together...

It's only a recommendation. You can do the land/bonus borders with 2px and territory borders with 1px. Or 2,5px and 2px.

Borders have been leveled out again, this time with a 3pix brush, they are thicker now, but also softer.
I have added a little decoration so the map is not so boring blank to look at, it is too much with the Queen?

This is looking better. Question. Are you putting everything in separate layers so that you can edit one part of the map instead of the whole map? You're gonna kill me, but the outlines of the map and the bonus regions could be reduced down to 2px. you can keep the territory borders the same. The Queen looks fine where you have her.

Anyways looking forward to your next update.

Edit: If not, I can help you with getting it sorted out so it will be easier for you.

Good point. This, I would argue, is the most important rule of graphics design: Always Everything On Their Own Layers.
