Round 1 Game 2 Invites gone out, nuclear!

UPDATES

Invites for Round 1 Game 3 (normal spoils) have been sent out. Given that's it's Holiday time, I won't be chasing people until the 3rd of January 2012 for their attendance. If there any issues before then, please let me know.

I don't want to have to make 2 reserves, I'd rather have 48 in, so please give a shout out and lets get the final 6 players.

Freemiums welcome, you need 1 slot now, and a further slot available for 30th october for the halloween games.

It's my first tournament, so I thought I would stick to what I like.

Terminator.
Random.
Dark and Foggy.
The games will cycle from nuclear, to escalating to normal every three games. So you'll play one of each.

Top half of the players go forward each time. (from the set of three)

so if you're set one, 1-8, you'll play 3 games with the same players, nuclear, then escalating, then normal.

Points across all three games totalled, top 4 players move on.

As it's a terminator, it will be based on points, however if someone dominates it, then it will be based on first out, lowest points, first out 1 point, Second out 2 points.
Based on the 3 games you've played. Yes I know this gives the lower rank players a potential advantage >;-)

Maps will be random, all maps 8 players.

Please sign up, I will take unlimited sign ups until 30th (changed due to low rate of sign ups) of October, when the tourny will start, hopefully culminating Haloween, where I reserve the right to use Halloween themed maps. (so the tourny will probably start with halloween maps!)

I'm slightly confused. You say it will be based on points with the top half going through each round (fair enough). But you then say that if someone dominates it, then it will be based on the first out getting 1 point, etc. Is this different to the scoring system you will apply if someone DOESN'T dominiate it?

Also, just wondered why you think lower ranked players can gain an advantage?

Tournament looks fine, but this bit isn't very clear to me.

Yes, so if someone wins all the points, i.e terminates everyone else, then it will be last out wins, so if you were the last one terminated you will be 2nd etc.

Given that a lower ranked player gains more points from a higher ranked player, you could knock 2 lower ranked players out gain 12 points each 24, but then have a low ranked player knock out a higher ranked player and get 24 points.

At the moment this is still live, but need more players, please speak to your friends, even if we can only get 32 in, for October 31st, that would be good!
