Concise description:
  • Add a new smilie

Specifics/Details:
  • The smilie would have 3 eyes and be wearing headphones

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • We could use it to indicate the post was made while scattered

Why not have more smileys? Oh, that's right, because somebody would have to upload them to the site...

It would be stupid to add any of these smileys.

We might as well add every smiley in the history of forums while we're at it.

you wanna add a new site smiley that you made up, and use in your avatar. and this smiley means scattered? i wish i had a smiley that means "i'm more retarded now, than I was before i read this thread", because i'd use it now.

Actually adding smilies is a bit of a PITA in phpBB3. It's still easier than coding them in by hand, but it does take more than a few seconds each.

I have buddies over at phpBB... one of them actually got off his ass (not literally) signed up for CC and confirmed my last serious suggestion on avatars on wall posts. He says he could do it in seconds... maybe a normal computer user, 30 seconds per smiley max.

If your buddy can code updates in seconds, why don't we have all of these new features you're requesting.

He doesn't work for CC.. and he sure as hell isn't gonna do free coding to make someone else money when hes making nothing doing it... he works for them not for CC. And I only requested 1 thing seriously and that was the avatars on wall posts, took a year to get implemented but hey its a start. I think more smileys would be fun but obviously not needed.

People who work for phpBB don't make any money from that either.

New Live Chat Smileys!

Postby NoSurvivors on Wed Feb 08, 2012 5:05 pm

Concise description:
  • New Live Chat Smileys! :D

Specifics/Details:
  • Some users are finding, that although the smileys are in a wide variety on a daily basis, there should be some new ones! My suggestion, is to perhaps have a few more added :)
  • I have a few in mind, but neither myself or loes can find a way to copy them from where theyre posted (MSN) to CC. Help with this is appreciated, as I'd love to show you what we have in mind!

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • It could attract new people to the Live Chat, with the variety of funny characters (emoticons) available to try out! Also, I have a few people (especially loes) with who I have been talking with about it. She, as well as others I am sure, want more smileys!
