how come 2 undefeated teams are below a 9-1 team. I don't mean to complain. You're doing a great job, and USM is extremely excited to have clinched the division, but my ballot has BYU #1 and Michigan state #3

Looks like the only difference is strength of schedule:
Team, adj w%, SOS (%), v. T25
MSU, .909, 66-54 (.550), 3-0
BYU, .986, 45-84 (.349), 4-0
ISU, .970, 55-64 (.462), 2-0

Keep in mind that MSU's only loss was to Michigan, which is 9-2 and #14 at the moment. Nobody on BYU's schedule is currently ranked, while two of ISU's are. This season has been a learning experience as far as how to run a ranking formula. I think next year's formula will be more accurate.

didn't realize that. I feel like that would put ISU in front of BYU then. I don't know. I've enjoyed the tourney immensely though.

For those of you that are looking toward conference championship games, they will be played on the USA regional map most closely associated with that conference, with no duplication.

ACC: USA New England
Big Ten: USA Great Lakes
C-USA: USA
MAC: USA Rockies
PAC-12: USA West (or USA Southwest)
SEC: USA Southeast

News update: Iowa State's Week 11 game against Oklahoma finally ended with a 6-3 upset by the Sooners. That means Iowa State's game this week against Kansas State is now for the league championship. A KState win would create a 3-way tie atop the Big-12 standings, but both ISU and KSU hold a tiebreaker over Missouri (Iowa State won 37-34 in Week 7 and Kansas State won 30-29 in Week 6). These are exciting times in the Big-12.

EDIT: I just looked again, and it looks like Kansas State's Week 12 game will end in a Texas upset over KSU. So that will throw a wrench in the works. I guess things aren't as clear as I thought.

Iowa State's loss means BYU is the only remaining undefeated team left. Michigan State, Iowa State and Ball State all have one loss, and everyone else has two or more.

Also, #14 Michigan's 28-23 win over #4 Ohio State this week means #1 Michigan State will not play in the Big Ten championship game.

Can't wait to see next year's tourney. I plan to still be around. I know I asked about the criteria for keeping coaching jobs a while back, and you're answer was 4 wins or something like that. Just want to give you a heads up that I believe tourney rules state that you can't reserve spots for over 50% of the field (i.e. half of the tournament has to be open to public sign up). Might pose a problem if you're allowing losing coaches to automatically be in next year's tournament.

Great tourney so far.

It wont matter, hes sweeping me in our last game. I have had the worst dice ever in this tourney this game and he got to go first in every game as well. Oh well. Better luck next season i guess.

From the Big East website:
TWO-WAY TIE
The winner of the head to head match-up will represent the BIG EAST in the Bowl Championship Series.

THREE-WAY TIE
A "MINI-CONFERENCE" IS CREATED AMONGST THE THREE TIED TEAMS

Scenario I:
All three teams have either a 6-1 or 5-2 record and have each won one game and lost one game against the other tied teams in the mini-conference. In this case, the highest ranked team amongst the three earns the bid. If two of the three teams are tied for the highest ranking, the bid is earned by the team winning the head-to-head match up.

Scenario II:
All three teams have 5-2 records, and within the mini-conference, Team A is 2-0, Team B is 1-1, and Team C is 0-2. Team A earns bid regardless of ranking.

FOUR-WAY TIE
A "MINI-CONFERENCE" IS CREATED AMONGST THE FOUR TIED TEAMS

Scenario I:
In the mini-conference, Teams A & B are 2-1, and Teams C & D are 1-2. The higher ranked of the 2-1 teams earns the bid. If the 2-1 teams tie for the highest ranking, the bid goes to the team that won the head-to-head match up.

Scenario II:
In the mini-conference, Team A is 3-0, Team B is 2-1, Team C is 1-2, and Team D is 0-3. Team A earns bid regardless of ranking.

Applying this to our the CC version of the Big East, if WVA, Rutgers and Pitt all wind up 6-1 and they are all 1-1 against each other, then rankings would break the tie.

Despite chronically poor field position, the Clemson Tigers managed to win by a touchdown in Week 12 at NC State. A seemingly interminable first quarter saw both teams swap field goals. Clemson put up three more field goals against a NC State touchdown to head into the locker room up 2 at half, 12-10. Both teams offenses returned to the field reenergized in the second half, but Clemson's three touchdowns and a late field goal put the Tigers over the top in a 36-29 victory.

Clemson then traveled to South Carolina in their final game of the season where they put a whooping on the 18th-ranked team in the country. Both teams offenses struggled to capitalize on red zone opportunities in a game that saw eight field goals and only two touchdowns. Clemson's share of those field goals (6) turned out to be the deciding factor in the 28 to 13 win.

The final two weeks of the season marked another rise in the rollercoaster season that Clemson has posted this year. Losing their coach four weeks into the season, Clemson showed flashes of brilliance under new coach Agentcom, including wins against the two ranked teams they played. The pinnacles were matched by devastating losses, however, that ensured Clemson was out of the hunt for an ACC championship with two weeks remaining in the season, despite playing in a division (ACC Atlantic) that struggled through much of the season. The division title ended up going to Florida State, who managed only a 5-3 start in their first eight games despite playing no ranked opponents in that span.

Clemson's 7-5 record hold out the chance for a minor bowl game. Coach Agentcom's impressive 6-2 record should see him returning to the helm next year, unless he is snapped up by another program. Agentcom has loose ties to Clemson, at best, and many have surmised that the sometimes-inspired coach may have ambitions with a team outside the ACC.

Conference championship games will have the higher-ranked teams settings for spoils and fog, and the lower-ranked team's settings for reinforcements.

The Border War has never held so much significance as #9 Wyoming visits #6 Colorado State this week for the season finale to determine who takes home the Bronze Boot!

Colorado State needs the win to claim its first outright MWC title since 2002, while Wyoming likely needs the win to keep its bid alive for a coveted at-large spot in the looming FBS playoffs.

An earlier USC game finally came to an end in a USC loss, giving the Trojans three losses and handing Arizona State the PAC-12 South. ASU heads to the PAC-12 championship game against Stanford.

That leaves the MAC as the last conference championship game to get started, and it looks like Buffalo is going to pull off the Week 13 win to advance to the conference title game against Ball State.
