My biggest concern with this is, that you have again started from the small image. Since every map needs both a small & large image, it would be wisest for you to start from the large image, since it will be very difficult to create the large image from the small, but relatively simple to shrink the large to the small.

I think it would be best for you to switch to the large image now that you haven't put that much work into this image yet. It would mean redrawing your map, but trust me it's better to have to do it now rather than when you've put weeks of work in your current image.

The size difference between large & small should be at least 9% but 25% is recommended. 25% would make your large image 840 pixels wide, based on your current image.

Good, just redraw Praha & Bratislava, those look pixelated now...

No, they are still pixelated. Just redraw them.

For that matter, you need to redraw the town icons as well...

I like the color in this one. It looks less washed out, while also not being too light or bright or overpowering.

You may want to consider making the Cr and SR each their own colors with varieties of shades in each territory

I can not "divide" CzechoSlovakia this way. it is still one country and it is divided by gameplay. only if this will be necessary. thanks.

Well, I think it would seriously help clear things up as unless a person is familiar with the geography of Czechoslovakia, it is going to be hard to determine where exactly Slovakia and the Czech Rep. are exactly. I'm not saying it is mandatory, but you should look at clearing up this issue soon.

Rather than having the border between Czechia and Slovakia a different colour, you could make it like the outer border of the country. That might work.

Oneyed, Its not that I or we are picking on you for fun, beleve me I realy like your map and want to see it online, but but, still to many pixels, the cirkels, the cities and the coat of arms are very pixelated.

I cant help you becourse I have to sit with it my self to know what to do. Im sure you will get same comment from natty or ohter, and im sure natty can tell you how to solve that problem.

Edit: your outer borders seem to be nice and smooth, I wonder why the ohter things arent.

keep it up :)

Flapcake is right, there is still pixelation.

The coat of arms... did you draw it yourself or did you get it from somewhere? You could probably find a better quality coat of arms that is free to use.

The town circles are indeed also pixelated. What you could do to create better circles is, use the ellipse selection tool to create a circle-shaped selection, make sure anti-aliasing is enabled. Fill the selection with black, then shrink the selection by 2 pixels, then erase the selection, and there you have an unfilled circle with a 2-pixel wide outline. And it shouldn't have any pixelation if you do it right.

Then to create that smaller circle inside it, just shrink the selection again, by 4 pixels or so, and fill the selection with black.

The outlines of the cities are also still pixelated. You could use the same thing here, except instead of ellipse selection, you use the free selection (lasso) tool. Select a city-shaped area, fill with black, shrink by 2, fill with light grey.

thanks guys feedbacks and to natty for tips. here is what I was able to do. the Towns look fine to me now, but I can not do borders around Praha and Bratislava better. these are new, but still pixelated, I think...
the coat of arms is new too, previous one was on 50% drawn by me. so up to me again, guys

you mean for Praha and Bratislava borders? and lasso tool, you mean Free Select Tool?

I used Free Select Tool and then Bucket Fill Tool, I also used Fuzzy Select Tool with which I select grey centre of city and then I used Draw Selected, I also tried to add Path around city and Draw Path...

it was and still is pixelated...

Yes, the free select tool. First use it to make a city-shaped selection. Do this on a new, empty layer. Then fill the selection with black, then shrink the selection by 2, and then fill the selection with grey.

That's odd... You should be able to make smooth selections with the free selection tool. When you use it, do you have the "antialiasing" option checked?

Maybe try working at a higher zoom level?
