No, the region borders. By regions I mean territories. They're still the same as they were, simple 2 vertex paths.

The thing is, the way the borders divide the regions, the shape of the regions doesn't look like city districts. No city is divided by such smooth, sinuous lines. They look too simplistic, like you were too lazy to create more elaborate lines... Furthermore, when you compare them with the land edges, they're totally different - it doesn't matter if you try to "smooth" the land edges... if you were to smooth them to the same level of simplicity as the region borders you'd end up with a map that looks like doodle earth.

It just doesn't look right and I hope you'll put some more effort into this. The gameplay is pretty much finished, so I think it's time you took this on a new level graphically. I don't see why you're being stubborn and refusing to work on the border shapes - I've given you plenty of suggestions on how to achieve better results... if you don't want to try any of them, then go ahead and keep using the path tool, but make the paths a bit more elaborate than just a curve between two points. It may take a bit longer but the result will be hugely better. Work at a high zoom and give yourself an objective: at least 6 anchors (vertexes) for each path.

Or, if you want, I can give you detailed step-by-step instructions for how to do the borders in inkscape.

natty, it is not being lazy or stubborn. It is a matter of what I like and not willing to post an image till I am happy with it. Been trying to get these right now for a while and now that I have gotten them finished, I will post. My only worry is will the smaller rivers be confusing for players compared to the large/darker impassable rivers.

Ok, as for the shape, those are definitely a step up.

But, now there's slight issues with pixelation... Did you use paintbrush to draw those lines?

nice basic map.... if you want to keep it that way then disregard my opionion... you can make where boardering cities can attack each other as well as boarders. different ways to attack kinda like the Ho chi minh trail... thats another idea a Vietnam Map would be cool with china and other countries that were involved Keep up the Good work!!!! Love new Fun Maps!!!!

machrs, had a similar idea in an earlier version with the airport being able to be attacked or attack certain areas of the map. There was no support for it to the point that people even complained about it. Therefore I will not add the neighbours.

This is certainly different graphically, more background with the map itself kinda floating on top of it... not bad, but different.

The title on the small map the opacity I think has be dropped and just doesn't look right.

Don't wanna delve into this too hard atm since you just got your stamp for gp, get to though work kiddo. ;)

Also, the colours are otherwise ok, but I think Pusat doesn't quite belong.

natty, all you have said about the background is that you do not think it is right and not done the way you would of done it. I will address the background at some point but am not going to go through the normal argument we have in every thread. I will get it changed and changed it will be, but to my liking. You may disagree with this and I am sure you will but it will be done that way. :P

As for Pusat colour, yes it is to dark and also Barat Daya needs to change as the CB filters make them look identical. Mini map needs to be brought up to date, stray lines need to be erased. Lots to do, just not really a lot of time just now. Will get things worked out over the next week.
