Did the MLB ever expand the playoffs to the 10 team format for 2012? If so are there going to be the 2 wildcard teams from each league or just 1 for this tourney?

Yes, there will be 2 wildcard teams from each league. They will play 1 game vs each other with the winner moving on to the next round.
