What do you guys think, should children be punched mercilessly just as this Christian demands? Is this a new doctrine in Christianity? Should America really be referred to as a Christian nation when this is what they have in mind?

I think I understand the first point, but it does seem to be the voice of the pastor, rather than someone else.

I'd say that the bigotry lies in the idea that homosexuality can be beaten out of children. Indeed that homosexuality is the fault of fathers who don't hit their kids.

There is no movement within Christian churches to punch children. If that video is of the pastor, that's himself speaking, not other people.
