why is the bonus for G just 3?
N for example has as many borders but less territs and is worth 4.

Because G Line has only 3 territories attacking it,
whereas N Line has 7 territories attacking it.

I'm not aware of any discussion about imbalance etc?

Does anybody have any legitimate concerns about imbalance, or has anybody noticed any glaring errors/omissions? If not we'll have to push the boat out....

Nothing yet of significance that i know of.....although several months now after Rail Europe has gone live....there is a call from some to adjust the bonuses on two small bonus lines. ;)
Is there any chance the boat can be left at the dock for a while longer while some games finish....this is a large map to conquer.

This is a switch: the Boys In Blue pushing to quench the map, and the mapmaker saying "Let's take it slow".

Does anyone know how many games have been played on Rail Europe and Rail Africa, just to get an idea of how many it might take to get people to call for adjustments?

Yes,  I thought that was novel also.
Anyway, this map has just over 100 games finished.
R Europe has 3717 games finished.

I think if there is no calls for change in a week, then the boat can probably go out then.

Hmm, well then, we can't really wait for Rail Africa to get up into that level of play. I must say, I am enjoying this map.

hmmmm but in both cases you need to stack on three territs to defend the bonus. But I'm not very experienced with mapmaking (and I hardly play flat rate/ no spoils games) so maybe my opinion should not count that much. And since I hold the N bonus in the game that I'm playing on this map...

These bonuses are what bonus creator template makes, and these bonuses were supposedly gone over by the gameplay guys, so if they're happy with them.... :)

I'd just like to say this is the best looking rail map by a large margin. I'm not sure what I like so much about it, but you definitely did something great here.

On that note....

---The Beta period has concluded for the Rail Africa Map. All objections have had their time. The Foundry and I hereby brand this map with the Foundry Brand. Let it be known that this map is now ready to be released into live play.

I think it's because the places for the army numbers aren't boxes. The shape you used instead is quite aesthetically pleasing.

You got my home town's abbreviation wrong. :D
We abbreviate Pretoria as PTA and not PRA, it just reads easier.

L has 4 lands (there's one in Capetown) and effectively 5 bordering lands, that's why a +3 bonus.

Hey guys!

Just noticed that there is a slight spelling error on this map.
In the legend, Line E is called "L'Algerian" (with the accent - can't type accents on this computer).
However, in the game log, it is called "L'Algerien", which is the correct French spelling.

If it's too late to correct it, I understand, but I just wanted to bring that to your attention.

Best,
sempai
