Gameweek 25 invites have been sent and this will be the last Gameweek invites sent out...I PM'ed all the teams earlier in the week with the following PM..

IR1SH ACE wrote:hey there Captains...
I have finally come to the realization that this tourney has been going on for to long now....8 months and nearly 1200 games later and I know it will take at least another 4/5 months and 800 more games to complete...

As much as I have enjoyed this tourney and would love to see it through to the end, unfortunately it is eating into to much of my RL time and CC time and is having a negative effect on our Clan progression and the amount of quality time I get to spend with my two kids,

So after talking it over with Gunn217(who is also regretting his decision to help out) and my other Clan-mates that are involved in this tourney we all agree it needs to end sooner so we can put some time in on the Clan scene...

So I have come up with a way that I feel will end this tourney as fair as possible but would like to hear from all teams involved before making any final decisions....here is my idea...

we will send out Gameweek 25 games this weekend and that will be the final Gameweek, then we will wait till all the games have been completed up to Gameweek 25 and the league table has been fully updated...........

this will probably take another 5/6 weeks to be finished and then we will turn the league into a Knock-Out (home & away) tourney, but to be fair on the teams at the top of the table it will be structured like so...

the teams that finish in 1st & 2nd place once all 25 Gameweeks have been completed will go automatically into the SEMI-FINAL....
then the next 2 placed teams (3rd & 4th) will go into the QUARTER-FINAL.....
then the next 8 placed teams (5th-12th) will play-off for the the final two spots in the QUARTER FINAL
teams will be matched up by there finishing postion..i.e....5th will play 12th, 6th will play 11th..and so on...
the teams that finish in 13th-20th spot will be eliminated from the tourney

All of these games will be the same format as we have been playing all along and will be home & away games (the higher positioned team playing away game first) and then the team with the best aggregate score (combined home & away score) will progress......here is a table of how it will look....

Image
I believe this is a much better and fairer way to end this tourney without just abandoning it...

I already have the backing of my other Clan-mates who make up Teams...Man City, Wigan & Liverpool, all of which are in the top 3 spots at the moment and they are happy to finish the tourney in this format but I would still like a majority consensus on this, so let me know what each of you think ASAP...

I will post this PM into the main tourney thread for all to see

Cheers Ace

So far 11/12 teams out of the 18 still active in this tourney have responded that the would be happy to see it end this way so thats whats going to happen...i would still like to here from the few teams that have not responded but we will go with now...

by my calc Wigan will finish the league on top. I just checked and we have only 2 weeks where we could either draw or win and no weeks left where we have lost. Both WBA and Man city have loses. Here's hoping we don't get rusty waiting for the semis.

Good luck to everyone with the remaining games and best of luck to all in the playoffs.

ok league table updated to GW22 and only a handful of games still to finish before the start of the knock-outs...

by looking at the last three GW's I can see that Wigan have finished top overall and with a Goal Diff that just blows away nearly all the rest...

big congrats and well played by Team Wigan....Image
show: WIGAN ATHLETIC
... =D> =D> =D>

Wigan will advance to the Semi-Finals of the knock-out stage and the team that will be joining them in the Semi's will be Man City... =D> =D>
go PIG's

As for the 3rd & 4th Place teams that will advance to the Quarter-Finals stage, this is a lot closer...it looks like West Brom will finish 3rd...congrats =D> ....4th place is tight and need a couple more results to come in to confirm the 4th place team but its between - Liverpool, Chelsea & Everton - with the edge going to Liverpool right now...we will see...congrats to all anyway. =D>

everyone down as far as 10th will be advancing to the knock-outs and still have a chance to win the whole tourney...congrats =D>

that leaves 11th & 12th spot with at least 4/5 teams still have a chance of grabbing....from looking at the last three GW's its tight again and need some more results to come in but its going to be two teams out of these - Tottenham, Blackburn, Swansea & Arsenal - still lots to play for so keep the pressure on....will post the full knock-out stage once all games have finished....

there are still 8 active games. Not sure how much influence they will have on the standings but they will likely determine a few placings and therefor the first round matchups. So we have to wait a bit longer.

Re: BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE 2011-2012- (GW25) - Update 24th

Postby IR1SH ACE on Sun Jun 24, 2012 2:33 pm

ok League table fully updated to GW 25....nearly all 12 positions have been decided just waiting on a couple of results to come in b4 starting the knockout phase....hopefully by next weekend...

first off congrats and good effort by these teams....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal
Swansea
Bolton
Fulham
Sunderland
Aston Villa
Newcastle
Wolverhampton
------------------------------------------------------------------------
but unfortunately these teams are all out of the tourney now....cheers for playing and hope you all enjoyed it....

the big important games is the 4th place spot....Liverpool (my team) will be able to claim this spot by winning either this Game 11264457 or Game 11264456...we just need 1 win out of these two to guarantee 4th place..... [-o<

another big game is the Everton Vs Chelsea game....2-0 to Everton after the first half but Chelsea look strong in the second half game...Game 11177544....A win for Everton would clinch the 4th spot if Liverpool fail to win one of above listed games...if Chelsea can pull out the Draw it would Clinch them the 4th spot if Liverpool fail to win one of those games.....

the rest of the teams from 1st place to 12th place should end as they are and congrats to all these 12 teams for making it into the knockout phase....hope everyone has enjoyed the tourney and look forward to it finishing soon....

Cheers to all ACE...

If a player on the other team deadbeats, I think we should replay in fairness. We were making a comeback and this helped them secure the game.

I would agree with you Ironwood but in the grand scheme of this tourney this game is only to see who takes 5th & 6th spot...which there is no real difference except who plays Spurs or Blackburn....if this game was a chance to go forth or better then I would seriously consider replaying it for you guys....that and the fact that your NS NYC game will take another month/so to finish it would completely stall the tourney..

U guys (Everton) only need to win one of those Doubles games to win the overall match and claim 5th spot

wow how petty can you get you were making a come back due to him not taking his turn and the fact we were doping on him. he was moving his family across the us to a new home and posted that in our forum but failed to leave a pw for us to actually sit for him. ya hes a idiot but it certainly was not dead beating to gain a advantage and you guys very well know if a player times out the remaining men go to some one on the same team. you dint complain when he was missing you only complained when his men went to a team mate. god i hate cry baby's if you had a clue you would know dynasty don't play those manipulating rule games like other top clans do.you go thru all dynasty games i cant remember last time we had a player time out i think it was heatz and he got thrown out of the clan for missed turns. stop trying to finds ways to over turn bad play on your part into replaying the game.

if the to wants i will make him a member to he can see jays post in our forum

ok we have one team through to Q/Finals....congrats to..

Image

=D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

seems like the Everton Vs Stoke game has ended in a Draw so we will need to penalty shoot-out to decided this.....

in the unlikely event that its still a draw after the away goal rule than a penalty shoot-out will decided the tie…this shall be done by a best of 5 on the doubles maps....first team to win 3 doubles games advance to next round of tourney...I will send 4 games first on each teams doubles maps and if still tied after this will do 1 random doubles game to decided it

gl to both teams
