2011-06-18 17:38:51 - Dukasaur: So are we allowed to attack before a President is elected?
2011-06-18 17:39:15 - Dukasaur: Or are we supposed to only deploy on Round 1 and only start attacks once there's a Prez?

Game 9212583
5 votes cast for 4 different candidates... what happens if nobody is even close to a majority?

Whilst I think the idea of the voting for president etc fits well with the Tournament Concept in parctice its not working too well. Almost at round 2 and still no result of vote and therefore no teams sorted yet.

Perhaps a more suitable way to do it would be for you to randomise the 8 players into the president team and assassin team and to nominate both the president and head assassin.

I really like the idea and I would like to save it if possible....
Maybe we could be sorted into teams have 24 hours to discuss it amongst ourselves before the games begin.

Eliminate vs. Attack: Attack = conquering 1 or more territory of another player, Eliminate = conquering the last territory of a player

Originally, you were not allowed to eliminate before the president was decided. But in the new rules you can. The eliminated player can still win if his team wins the game.

The election is decided when one player has 5 or more votes, or when all votes have been cast. In this case, when the last two players who haven't voted cast their vote, the player with the most votes will win the election. If it's a tie, the player with the most points will be elected president.

If you think about, everyone is already set in teams. It's just that you don't know who's president yet. The teams will be the same no matter who is elected, but your roles change when the election happens, and the goals for both sides are set at that time.

Sorry it took so long to kick this back into gear.
There was one Round 1 game that was invald and we need a game to replace it. I have made the game for the 8 players left out to join and sent them PMs. I will start Round 2 when that game is done.

why is order always the same so we always have the same "teams"?
Is that on purpose?

Yes the original way the tourney was set up was that in the final the winning team gets the tourney win, since only 8 players were left I went with a best of 7 the team with the most points will win the tourney
