Tournament and Foed players

Postby AslanTheKing on Sat Jul 14, 2012 5:54 pm

Hi all,

If i had foed a player in the past, and signed up for a tournament,
what happens if i have to play a game where he is in it,
is that possible???

Your foe list doesn't work when it involves tournament games.

What you might want to do is send the TO a PM:
"I have foed such-and-such player because ... and would prefer not to have to play against him/her. Please keep us apart if possible. Thank you!"
This way, the TO knows what's up, and can hopefully prevent the reopening of old wounds.

This is reasonable since you activly accepted a place in a tournament where you measure yourself against other players, and your foe person also joined. Any other way would make tournaments a joke if you could prevent someone form entering in a round or even tournament because you foed everybody.
Still there are reasons why you really dont want to play someone, then sending a pm to the tournament organizer is usually the first step that helps.

And then the TO will probably say, get over it.

This is the dumbest suggestion I heard in a long time.

Haha I agree with chap and lindax...though I have run very few tournaments I don't have time to manage people's foe lists for them while organizing the tournament. There is enough work to do already.

I'm going to find all the highest ranking players in a tournament and foe them. Hopefully the TO will be nice enough to put me on the opposite side of the bracket with the noobs, so I don't have to meet them until the finals!
